@Malik.. How can this not be one of the bests..??? Did you notice who are the producers?? Bryan Singer.. one of the great Hollywood directors, notably the X-Men and Superman Returns. And, Jane Lynch..one of the greatest actors.. She starred in Glee.

This is unique for me. Normally I can’t stand hand held camera but the naturalness of this ‘story’ has me totally unable to tell if this is scripted in any way or just an honest revalation of a very real relationship. Either way it stands out as unique, beautiful and sincere.

Always loved this film because I have friends that this happened to. Gay guy and his best friend who was supposedly straight. Fell in love and 12 years later they are still insanely in love with each other.
@Surrfside24

Bi-Costal Teacher it happened for me, met this guy in 12th grade, was random. I was walking towards the student parking lot and this guy was standing in the middle of the hallway and randomly approached me and asked if he could get a ride to his house, it was a bit out of my way but I said sure because I'd think I'm a nice person. So I drive him to his house and learned that he just moved here from Wisconsin ( we are in North Carolina) and he didn't really know anyone yet and had no friends . So when we got to his house he asked me if I would want to come in and hang out. I said sure and next thing I'm with him everyday , drove him from school everyday, stayed at his house everyday when he wasn't at my house. We became best friends fast. Even did road trips together and went on each other's family vacations . After high school 2 years into the friendship we moved in together at a apartment . He was "straight" and dated a lot of girls during the time we've been friends . But our friendship started to get more and more intense. Even though we had a 3 bedroom apartment he would always come to my room most nights and sleep on my bed. Then after a while he started to cuddle me. We'd wrestle in the floor and he'd always win and pin me down (he is in the army) and he'd just lay on top of me and laugh and hook his arms around me like in a hug and we would just lay there like that for a while. After a year of this the day finnaly came , we were watching our fav show and he slid over on the couch next to me , put his arm around me , looked me dead in the eyes , and kissed me, which led to a make out and ummm other things. After that he finnaly told me that he didn't think he was gay and never had feelings or attraction to guys but some reason he saw me as attractive and was madly in Love with me and only me. We made it official relationship, but sadly after 2 more years we broke up and now he's married to a girl. Was like a fairy tale but ended on a sad note.. I don't regret it though because we have stayed friends , and his wife even knows our history but she loves when I come around. Life is strange lol

When love happens between best friends, that is more of a guarantee that it will last until death do they part. Because they already know each other very well and seen all sides of each other (good, bad, ugly, and everything in between), falling in love was the natural next step. Which is why after 12 years they are still insane about each other. This is the kind of love that everyone should strive for. Congrats to them.

Canadian Jewel - you are a jewel for posting this film. This story has been done too many times, but I've rarely seen one that captures the subtlety and the unforced eroticism of "Ronny and I". What makes it fresh is that it captures the love and the ambivalence of the two young men who really do love each other. And slips in some unobtrusive social commentary, as when Adam tells Ronny that he won't look him in the eyes and Ronny claims he does - through the camera. Or when they're in the bar (around 10:12) and Adam says he doesn't hold with ideas of what he "has" to be.

I love this film, it reminds me of being 13 and realizing in a moment of comforting my best friend as his world was falling apart, that the line was going to blur and be crossed. We for some reason took it the next level and our first kiss. 20+ years later we're still together, happy, proud to have made it through a lot of social issue when it came to gay relationships in the public opinion domain. This me realize as 40 approaches I am luckier then most to have found my soulmate so early. I was hoping they would make a movie out of it or a sequel at least.

This is one of the loveliest and most romantic gay short films I've seen though I did find the hand-held camera a little bit awkward at times. I have to say that the guy doing the driving and who was the object of his friend's unexpected desire is someone I'd fall for in a flash. He is so nice, funny, understanding and exceptional in the way he treated the situation and showed he loved his friend just as much as his friend loved him. Ohhh, that kiss....

Like a bro? I mean no. Kissing and hooking up with someone is not a bro. I’ve been through a similar situation and it actually just resulted in being unfriended lol. I get it tho. Sex isn’t something you do unless your attracted to someone. Otherwise it’s traumatizing. I’m gay and tried to be the Ronnie for someone it just made Me feel sick and horrible... It’s a great fantasy but not real.

Ronnie and I has to be the best short video I've ever seen it's the most romantic thing ever, I can tell that he wanted it to be a spur-of-the-moment thing but he let his feelings known on the beach so the spur-of-the-moment thing was over with then but I tell you what I think they had one very romantic night after a beautiful dinner with music and an awesome day at the beach as they left the hotel, he's very emotional which is the number one thing I love about guys ones that show their feelings. I'm saving this video so I can watch it at any time it's there's just the most beautiful thing ever. I wish I knew these two guys I wish they were my friends they're absolutely Bryant people!!! I rate this video not as a 10 but I give it a 12 good work guys congratulations. I am a big fan of this Romance!!! DRS. Thanks mates.

🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡 Bravo!!! This is now one of my top two favorite gay shorts so far! (I've seen at least 100). 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡 I too, thought this was a real story, spontaneously self-shot---but if so, that would be amazing! I see that Jane Lynch and Bryan Singer are executive producers---no wonder the production quality and actors are so outstanding! I wish that all teens could watch this--it would open so many more closed minds, and spark lots of great conversations.

This is an extraordinary film, shot as if two friends are recording on their smart phones their weekend trip to the sea. Director Guy Shalem extracts from his two leads disarming performances of personal disclosure as the friends delicately negotiate and then share their initial intimacy with each other. Adam Berry and Luke Humphrey pull off the dual load of acting and filming their own wonderful performances. Wonderfully conceived and consummated. Like the fish at the end, the boys have leapt out of their comfort zone and their flying is a joy for them and us to see.

His friend gazing back at him, 'Supposedly', Half drunk. The real natural and sacred bond between them, Strengthens and crumble, To the wild rythem of both their young hearts. "Are you attracted to any of these girls?" he chidded, "That one is cute", he half whispered His ears catching the friendly mokery of his 'would be lover', an entire minute later. "She's too old for you", was his crush's respond. The silence that followed, was lethal. Preparing them both , to a journy long yearned and dreamt of. Soft lip bites that followed, Ensured them both, It could not be stopped. And luckyly so, For it had only just begun. 💙 ©CarlaMaria💙 📷Gingeral78 #CanYamaniacsRuleTheWorld.

I like how Adam won't put a label on himself, I like how he's open to liking whoever he wants and not have a label for it. It's almost like he doesn't want to be known as "the guy who likes men" or "the guy who likes both genders". And I appreciate that in a person. Love the film!❤

That is definitely one of the best gay shorts I have seen. Love the happy ending, imo too many have sad and depressing endings. I get where that comes from, just prefer to see more up beat stories - there are enough sad and depressing things in RL. (Also not a fan of ambiguous endings; was it sad? Was it happy? Did they get together or not? Aaaarrggghh!)

Randall, the whole point of the ambiguous ending is to make you ask the questions you just asked.

Wow... just wow. This is by far the most beautiful short film i've ever seen. The portrayal of the characters are so sincere and full of emotion, especially towards the end. This should be nominated for every award existing on this planet.

I wasn’t sure if these were actors or just two guys filming themselves while this transpired in real life. I really enjoyed this film. Great acting and beautifully shot. I love Santa Barbara, the location where this was recorded. I’m looking forward to the feature film. Their website says, it was being released in Spring 2020? Anyone have any info on that? ✌🏻🙂✌🏻

Why can’t real life be like this? Instead of the progression of “I’m okay with it” to “oh me?” Which inevitably leads to losing a friend :/ never come out to a friend like this. This was romantic, but not realistic. For the love of all never do this.

I love this short film so much. It‘s so real. And so beautiful. I love the end, when he cries because he realizes that only with Ronny he is happy. Ronny is probably all he ever wanted and now they are together, because he allowed himself to have feelings for another man and, more important, to show them to Ronny. With Ronny he is finally home.

i cried at the end and it rarely happens to me whenever i watch gay themed films. This short film was done with so much boldnes that you'd try to find better words so you won't say anything short and close to losing what the essence of the film is all about. Their Friendship is the central theme of this film, and the Actors played their roles with so much sensitivity which defined this whole film. That is the kind of friendship i want, won't ditch you even if the honesty would make you feel awkward (god i think don't make Friends like that anymore). Kudos to the team and thanks for sharing.
