Try heating the seal with hot water to make it a lot easier.

Hi, it wouldn't absorb water as it is water resistent rubber.

Hey guys just got the replacement but my base is slightly different its got the rear screen wash which makes it a little wider do you also stock the larger ones?

+MrStrandgsx This on a vectra? I've just replaced mine using an identical rubber seal. Boil some water, put it in a mug, and dunk the seal in for a few seconds. Stretches nicely.

And its not the dust cover that causes the leak,it's the one you cannot see 🤣🤣🤣. You must take the rear roof lining off and unscrew the aerial base, get two new seals and for safety sake, get flexible bathroom sealant and apply. If you have the one with the washer, dealer or scrap only

Fitted this replacement antenna rubber seal to my 2006 Astra SXI Hatch, personally found it best to clean the roof first, apply a small amount of vaseline to allow the rubber seal to slide easily over the plastic base, finally I CAREFULLY moved the antenna base left right - forward back to make sure the rubber lip had gone into place.
