After a week of hard work uncovering the floor in our 200 year old Irish farmhouse outbuilding, we never expected this to happen. No one was hurt which is the most important thing and nothing was broken in the outbuilding.
The planned repair and restoration was replaced by demolition and tree felling, bringing a job for next spring forward to this rainy, blowy Autumn.
Being complete beginners at farmhouse renovation, really needing a "homesteading for beginners" guide and now starting amateur archaeology, we are taking it slowly, enjoying everything we do no matter how hard it is, to one day realise our dream of running a fully functioning homestead from our once derelict Irish Farmhouse.
