After many years finally we can take a proper look at Coreupt! An indie sci fi/cyberpunk fighter thats been in development for a hot minute and there is now a free demo live on steam(and link to that steam page in the vid description, naturally!). The demo has all the fixings in terms of offline/online play, training mode and one hell of a silly combo trial system that may evoke the glory days of the silly King of Fighters 13 trials. yes, but combo breaker builds very fast in this game too, way faster than other games. Basically you are in the doom combo its cause you screwed up

@@nicknick_nickWell, some games are certainly worse than others when it comes to that. I used to play Killer Instinct Gold with my friend as a teenager and if he hit me once it was pretty much over for me. The announcer screaming “COMBOOOOO BREAKERR!!!” still haunts my dreams, lol.

First time I played Coreupt was 2 years ago at Evo, and even then I knew about it for a long time before that so getting a mass-market hands on version of it is pretty dang nice! That said though even though its been in development for a bit there's still a few issues on the demo but the game isnt done yet so don't hold it against them. I know people are gaga for Combo Trials so if only for that I think you owe it to yourself to give it a try, but past that the core game is quite fun as well with some fun and interesting characters so give it a go!

I have been waiting for this game when you initially mentioned it in a “Upcoming Fighting Games” video. It was the one fighting game that caught my eye at the time and have been trying to keep up with news on it. I’m so excited to try it out! Gonna download it tonight and play!

Absolutely *nothing* wrong with the grappler getting a combo off command grab as well as having all those flavors.. _Every_ _single_ _grappler_ _command-throw_ in the VS series sucks *badly* in the VS series in a one-v-one or key-assist-gone situation (outside of Juggy's anti-air one, of course). Who gives a shit if Gief or Haggar unbreakable throws you for 25% damage? That's flat damage with a throw whiff animation. Meanwhile, Magneto in literally every VS game he's in, can OTK you if he throws you _once_ . And there's no throw whiff animation, since proximity-based normal throws are inherently option-selects, so he's safe even if he messes up the throw. Glad _someone_ is finally making it a scary thing to get gripped up.

The movesets and combos look too similar / interchangeable for all the characters. Almost no personality to the moves. Like the lean spandex lady use a powerbomb as her throw. Doesn't fit the visual design.

For an indie team without AA-AAA budget (I hope), this is really well done to be honest. I'm indie too and trust me, getting funding for game development is as hard as breathing under water. Congratulations to them and looking forward to seeing how far this project goes, I'm not too fan of the vfx and art direction but they are definitely doing much enough👏

I'm pretty sure I saw this demoed at Evo a couple of years ago but didn't get to play it because a couple of people were already at the station and talking with the devs, so I didn't want to interrupt. I do remember that the woman who was there with her boyfriend said something along the lines of she picked the character with the most color and thought the game could use some more of it, and jt looks like the deva really took that advice to heart. I don't know if the game is quite what I'm looking for aesthetically, but the colors are definitely nmy type of gaudy.

both circumstances of the moment. Lidia was post Evo, and every company invited me to check their game except bandai namco(bandai namco refuses to work with me) so when it came time to make videos I had footage for everyone but lidia, so that took priority and by the time post evo was done lidia was old news. For Heihachi the trailer came out on the 24th which was hell day, and frankly MK and SF6 were more important to the channel so I worked 23 hours straight and I just couldnt cover heihachi. Now for the release I set time aside for heihachi to lab him and focus on a video and when I got there thats when PSN was down worldwide and I couldnt get the patch or the DLC, which basically ruined the video cause I couldnt play him in the time i had set aside. I am sure there will be more coverage for tekken in the future but the recent events for Tekken basically just all fell on wrong place wrong time
