I like the PS4 version keeping the original PS2 style but looks a lot more crisp and detailed. Side note: The way the sky looks in the PS2 compared to other versions; it makes sense for the sky to look like that. Since Los Santos is based on LA, it also incorporated the smog into the environment since LA is notoriously known for it. Even some of the station DJ’s make smog reports for the LS area.

The Original Xbox version is really fantastic. Shows how powerful the console really was, it's basically the PC version at high settings but running at 480p. I have it and it runs great on the Xbox 360.

@@burnttamale Yeah you're right. That's why the best way to play it is the PS2 version on a CRT TV. It looks amazing. I suppose the modded PC version would be better if you're able to hook that up to a CRT, but that's kind of an unusual solution.

Another great video! Interesting note: alot of games released around this time hsve different fov sittings for xbox snd ps2 Like POP and NfS for example and GTA all of em have different.fov settings for ps2 and xbox Most likely because ps2 ran at a super low interlaced resolution

My favorite version will always be the Playstation 2. While it is almost the objectively worst one, it was the first and it was *my* first as well. I never liked the HD remaster on mobile and newer consoles, it just feels too cheap if that makes any sense. Hell, they even removed the two player option, limited as it may be, from the newer copies of the game.

Did you know: it was also the first GTA Game to ever receive an AO rating (Adults Only), and the ESRB wasn't having any of it. So Rockstar had no choice but to remove the 'Hot Coffee Mod' and tone down content in order to get the green light from the ESRB.

@@RookerVision yea, even though I love your videos, I'm the go to guys when it comes to video game censorship. There is one video that you actually did: GTA Vice City. Theres this one mission where this man said that he was going to kill a Haitian, then he was going to make love with a man, but Rockstar overlooked the game and patched it, the patched version removes the Killing the Haitian dialogue due to minorities (Cubans and Haitians) being outraged by the dialogue. I'll send you the link via Gmail, you'll see what I'm talking out. Plus there was like further censorship within the game. I'll try and give you suggestions on future side-by-sides and see if the game was censored or not. Unfortunately I don't have money to donate for Patron, I wish I did in order to help you out further

I don't know if the dowgrade mod for the Steam version restores the songs, but the easiest way to install all the mods is to the original 1.0 PC version.

just a point - the only thing changed graphically on the PC version isnt the sky - the lighting is also changed too, the PS2 is the only version to use the very saturated orange graphics, the mod you use injects those into the game, for all intents and purposes the original retail 1.0 GTA SA for PC looks pretty much the same as the OG XBOX version. gotta say tho, imo the PS2 looks the best - that warm orange glow and the blurry hazy look just make me feel so comfy and enveloped, all of the other versions lack those saturated oranges and browns that game had and they lose some magic because of it

Finally it's out. The video is out!!! Edit: Ps2 and Ps4 uses fake reflection on vehicles while Xbox and PC (unpatched steam copy) uses the sheen effect on vehicles. Ps2 and Ps4 uses fake shadows under peds and vehicles unlike the Xbox and PC uses dynamic shadows.

Um, it can be done. Correction. It's already been done! The PS2 architecture has nothing to do with anything. Rockstar devs just got lazy during porting. Konami devs were just more biased towards Sony during Mgs2 development. Ever heard of Silent's Skyfx mod for GTA SA? Also, the yellow-brown grainy effect effect on mgs2 is present in the 360 version of the HD collection.

Thought I'd weigh in as this is my favorite game of all time. 15:39 - I actually think they both load in at the same distance. Anyway, as far as the PS2 and original Xbox versions go, I love the higher res. of original xbox, but what lets this game down on it is the clunky controller; doing drive-bys using the white/black buttons is something I could never get used to. PS2 is still the superior version of the 2 for controls alone. With the port to PS3 the thing that is missed the most by me is the animated lights for the casinos on the strip...it's a freaking travesty that the ps2 was able to do that, yet 10 years later and all those pretty animations are now gone. :/ Not to mention weather heat ripples are gone, all the long grass is gone, side views and 360 control of the camera while flying are gone...they stripped away so many features for the android / ps3 / x360 ports. -_- honestly at this point the PS4 port is the only one I could recommend, and even that is annoying to recommend to people with EU PSN accounts as it's running at 50FPS...still it's the best we've got to the original for now unless you plan on buying a retail PC or steam copy and installing a controller input mod, skyfx, etc.

Undercover for the PS2 has the best car physics in my opinion. Like, Carbon was the most fun to drift, but Undercover's physics just made sense to me, things moved the way I expected them to while still feeling like a video game. Even though the game around it was a complete mess of reused assets and budget cuts, I still enjoy playing it. The HD versions just suck all round. They cannot be saved.

because of first versions of GTA SA on PS2. PS2, PS3 PSN and PS4 are the best version ever made on GTA SA. Xbox and other hD vErSiOnS are bad. And here's something maybe xbox one runs at 1080p and 25 fps!!!!! but PS4 runs at 60 fps and 4K! Xbox doesn't even look like it's running in 1080p it looks so badly and very poor work from War Drum Studios that made this broken version. For me xbox runs at 360p because of that blurry stuff on the sky and characters. Xbox classic it's PC with 240p, PS2 is 480p. PS2 wins!

Tbh, I was addicted to this game so much that I've bought like every version available for all the devices I got (PS2, XBOX, PC, XBOX 360, PS3, PS4, Android, Steam (PC), Windows 8 (Store). I only bought the PS2 version back then only 'cuz of its graphics. God, I've got such great memories of this game and this video fires all of that up. Also, the PS2 version has cool car controls. The face buttons ( ✖️🔳🔼🔘) are pressure sensitive. So you press lightly and you can actually cruise at a cool, "Hey girl" cruising speed. Press hard and it's like you have pressed the accelerator to the floor. I'm not 100% sure if the PS3 did this as well. But the PS4 does not as its face buttons only have 2 states. On and off.

To me, personally, the Xbox is the best version. Mainly because it was the first and only version I played my whole life. The PS2, while the best to most people, just doesn't look as good as the other versions. The PC is also good too, thought it came out the same day as the Xbox Version. The remastered versions for mobile, Xbox 360 and ps3 just don't look that appealing to me, all the characters look like they were coated in too much polishing wax
