Chloe is really thriving with your lifestyle! Well done. I answered a fb plea for help to get another local unstuck in that exact area, about 12 months ago... In getting him out I managed to get my 200 badly bogged too. Then my winch failed. Turned out it was the isolation relay, but no meter so didn't work that out while there. We ended up using a turfer hand winch to get out, took 5 hours!!! Long day. Great place to camp if there hasn't been grubs there before. Disgusting to see little wee tickets all over the place near the treeline sometimes.

Just got back from a week free camping with my 12 yr old grandson , Brodie. Caught plenty of squid to fill the freezers. Hi Cam, great to see you enjoying some quality time one on one with CHLOE. The 300 is really coming together nicely and it is helping us with a few choices for when ours arrives. I wouldn't feel too bad about getting bogged, I banged my head on a sharp edge on our camper while setting up at a bush camp yesterday and ended up at the local hospital for 6 stitches. Haha, I got caught years ago just like that at Samson Dam in a small gully. Stuck like you would not believe. We just could not get out. No Max Trax etc back then and no winch. We had to wait for someone to come along to get rescued. Strange thing was it was an old Falcon 2wd - somewhat embarrasing when we were in a 4x4 :) At least there is no worry about tides. That sort of situation is where an air jack really comes into its own.

Cam with the awning, put some stick on or wrap around padding in the places it’s close to the car. Although it clear “just” and breeze and the awning bounces it will start hitting on the car. Seeing as you have contacts at the awning company maybe ask them if they can supply something with the awning as this is common on all split tail gate cars

Can for your water have you thought about a 60 lt bladder that fits in the foot well, connect to a 12 volt pump that can pump water to the rear. I have that in my 200, works well. Just a thought.
