You cannot even tell where the crown was broken! So many amazing products out there. And what a change with the risers being lighter. When you were dusting the spindles in this video with everything still black you could really see the difference. It looks so much nicer with the stair treads matching more the color of the floors!

Like the Narnia wardrobe upstairs. Such a pretty piece and great storage. Mom cleaning is periodically necessary and I am sure appreciated. Like the idea of turning the bar area into laundry and closet space if the snack area isn't needed. That area must be hopping with gamers when you have family gatherings and your kids have friends over. You have created a wonderful home for entertaining.

Hey Jessi,vi don't comment much but turning that space upstairs in to a closet and making it a laundry area would definitely make it more practical. I also love the hutch upstairs for extra storage. Once you build the closet, that would also make for good storage.

It did a great job of filling in the gaps! I might get my electric mouse sander to sand down a few high spots I noticed after painting but over all happy with how it turned out!

Hi Jessie.. Love the way the Hutch turned out !! You definitely got the touch on all the things you do something i don't have lol but I try.. That would be a nice size closet in place of the bar if you did do washer n dryer would you consider the stackable washer n dryer save you some room I love the black stairs n railings it makes such a difference seeing most of it upstairs!! I will do an apartment style stacking washer and dryer combo. Save room plus any big things can be washed down in the laundry room like comforters etc.

Hi Jessie. I'm wondering if that bar area would work as a built in entertainment area....a place to put the TV with built ins for storage on either side. Then the TV wouldn't be in front of the window.

I had thought of that as well but we really need storage upstairs. There isn't any hall closets or bathroom closets to put overstock toilet paper and cleaning supplies, the vacuum etc.

She had the furniture arranged differently before with the sofa back towards the stair bannisters and the tv on the blank wall that would be opposite the sofa. I thought it did look like a better arrangement, but that’s up to them.

I’m pretty sure that beautiful piece is called an armoire. It could look really awesome if styled with creatively folded towels and linens, soaps and lotions….something your daughter would probably appreciate more than your son! 😂😂😂

There is definitely some drips here and there. I just get a wet wipe and try to clean it up as I go. I will cheer the day I get to replace this carpeting.

@debbiegoodwin2421 One day! It's functional for now, and we like to save all cash up before doing renovations. I have big plans in there, including taking out the glass blocks and putting new windows in, etc, so it's a BIG $$$ renovation.

I actually have tried that in our cabana to fill a hole but the foam doesn't wear paint very well.
