Thank you. I have been following you for over a year now and have grown to trust and respect you so much. I am not a Christian, and frankly, have had a not so positive relationship with Christianity in the past. But because I trust and respect you- and watched this entire video and listened. I feel strongly that we all have something to learn and teach each other and when we listen with an open heart we can only grow. Thank you for building a bridge that I felt comfortable crossing. We need so much more of that now more than ever.

I honestly hated Christians until a couple years ago...I sat down read the gospels myself and fell in love with Jesus. God opened my eyes to how there are evil counterfeit forms of Christianity, Jesus actually warns us of it. Now I'm born again with the Holy Spirit and he healed me from so many things....try ignoring everything you know about Christianity (like the condemning, hateful, prideful American version) and seek to know Jesus for yourself through the gospels. ❤️

Jess - I have been waiting for this. Your "Infinitely More" devotional literally changed my life. This past spring, a farmer friend gave our family two raised beds, which is something we've wanted for a long time. However, we really didn't know what we were doing, lacked confidence, and put off filling them with soil and planting seeds until July 4th. The first thing we planted that day were okra seeds, because okra was brought to the US by enslaved Africans; and we wanted to honor them. (We are an African-American family.) To our amazement, those seeds germinated in a few days and steadily grew into the beautiful, thriving plants they now are. Moreover, we were surprised to see one lone okra plant growing through the thick grass next to the bed. A seed must have fallen from the packet or my hand onto the ground without my knowing it. To our surprise, that okra plant is bigger and stronger than the others in the bed we finally filled and planted! I think it was God's way of saying, "Even when you delay or just do what you can in this relationship, I will do a lot more!" It also said something to me about His power and promise, which far surpasses mine. He is my best and most loving friend. Why wouldn't I want to be in relationship with a God like Him?! Thank you for not only teaching us, Jess, but also inspiring us to do what we can when we can. And thank you for reminding us, as you said, that God is the One who fulfills our dreams. - Esther in Chapel Hill, NC

Soooooooo needed to hear this. As someone who is entering my senior years with a son that has special needs, the demands can often push the sitting time with Jesus away. Needed to be reminded that I can be intimate with Jesus while I am preparing the daily meals & meds for my son (peanutbutter and jelly sandwich). Need to keep reminding myself of heart posture until it becomes the very way I live. Blessings Jess. He shines so brightly through you, Thank you for your willingness to be the vessel.

Jane I just commented a similar thought. I think it was the most honest and edifying teaching on Mary and Martha I’ve ever heard...and I’ve heard many as you probably have also. When she said she was offended that Jesus didn’t ask someone to help Martha I realized I too have had that thought. As Christians we’ve all been taught to be like Mary, and we def need to sit as His feet, but I think particularly us moms and Grandmoms we find ourselves working like Martha. I’m so appreciative of Jess sharing her thoughts this morning. It is in Him that we live and move and have our being...and I needed the reminder. God bless.

Thanks, Jess - for sharing your faith! I truly believe that many of us strong women, whether we are homemakers or CEO’s, often relate to Martha - we are doers and don’t often allow ourselves to stop and sit quietly, like Mary. We see something that has to be done and we jump in. I have to ask myself, is my constant business a reflection of Him. Just finished studying 1 John - I love how John reminds us that if we constantly walk in the truth of God, there will be little difficulty for others to see Jesus in what we do. In his letter, John wrote with hope that the reader would eagerly seek fellowship with God, so sincerely, so intimately that we would know what it meant to “walk in the light, as He is in the light.” Keep on sharing both your life on your new property and your strength and obedience as a woman of God.

Jessica thank you. Your word today was straight from the heart of God! I was slipping back imto condemnation because my Mom move in and I care for her. Since covid I also babysit weekdays for my 1 yr old grandson. I also have a garden to tend. I'm so busy but I meditate on the Lord while I'm working. I was starting to be frustrated when my morning time praying and reading is constantly interupted. I needed this very word today. I see the God in you. What an on time word. Thank you for you obedience and openness. I know that the Kingdom of God is "in" me and "in" you. God used you today. I love you! God bless you! A few years ago I was riding in my car to the store and this awesome worship song was playing. When I got to the store I didn't want to go in since the song was still playing and I was in the spirit of worship. Suddenly a small voice spoke and said "take me with you". He never said the law was done away with though. But it should be through a circumcised heart that we hear the words of Moses and obey. Messiah never taught against them. He said they erred in the SCRIPTURE not knowing the SCRIPTURE. The SCRIPTURE that He was speaking of was the TaNaK. The NT would not be written for decades later. The NT all from the OT. He will not accept lukewarm lawless and the NT says so. Here’s an example of what we do not understand and what satan has made backwards in what we believe because he wants us to be lawless and lukewarm. He is a deceiver and uses the truth and make it a wrong understanding to deceive people. You are going down the road and you go through a red light and an officer pulls you over and gives you a citation. Now you are under the law and the law is against you for disobeying the law. So only One can pay this debt, so He says I am paying your debt but I will only do it this once, I’m paying it with my very life, my very blood to cover the nakedness/ shame of the sin. This is my grace that I allow you to be free from the law, so He says Go and Sin No More! Do not trample the blood! So now you are free from the law, your penalty and debt is paid! Do you now go disobey His Holy Law or obey it? He will not allow lukewarm or lawlessness in His house. He wants passion for the Holy Word. Abraham OBEYED and it was counted as righteousness. He believed and trusted YHWH. Even the demons believe and tremble. We have circumcised hearts to obey. If we do anything through coercion of man, then it’s not through conviction of a circumcised ( cut the meat/ in covenant) heart. His Holy Days of Lev 23 IS His plan of salvation and marriage covenant to His bride. They are important to know. The armor is not Roman soldier garb, it is the priests garments and there’s a reason for wearing them. The leaders are supposed to be teaching the Word, Messiah is the living Word/ the TaNaK. The disciples obeyed the TaNaK. They even showed up for the Holy Days and Paul did nazarite vows which offerings include animal sacrifice. Acts 21 and Acts 18. Zachariah 14 shows animal sacrifice will continue in the 1000 year reign. 3 times all nations must show up for the Holy Days or they will get NO rain on their crops. None. Zacchaeus paid back anyone he had caused to be undone 4 fold. It’s the law of paying back double. It is going the extra mile with them. It’s giving the extra garment which is their bedding to keep them warm at night. He never changed. Read 1 Corinthians 10 slowly, We were taught a mixed gospel and He abhors mixing. He wants a pure clean bride, no whoring or mixing at all. It must be from a circumcised heart though. You’ll notice that they told the new converts in I think Acts 15 :20-21 to do the laws, stop drinking the blood and stop fornicating, AND THEN they will hear Moses being preached in the synagogues. This is because anything that we do to obey the laws, it must come from a thoroughly circumcised heart through conviction and not coercion by man. They cannot just simply become members. And they don’t come as they are. There must be a repentance from the sins we are doing. If the fruit of the repentance is not there and we obey do not obey from a deep conviction, then we are lawless and lukewarm and we will he spewed from His mouth. Do not be fooled. There is obedience. Everyone has rules for their home. Read 1 John 2 and James(Jacob) Deuteronomy 6 and know the Holy days and what they mean as He is Vick g them to is to understand His Covenant. Bring cleansed alters for the sacrifice, He does not want filthy alters. We were supposed to leave our gift at the alter and go physically make amends for our sin to anyone we had caused to be undone in any way shape or form. Sometimes we cannot do this. Like Paul killed true believers and it was always a burden on his heart though he knew he had been forgiven. And Paul never feared death and rejoiced in persecutions. This is how we are also to be. Stop sinning and we will look forward to the birthing of death into Messiahs arms. Much Shalom(completeness, perfectness and wholeness) who’s circumcised minds and hearts are continuously on Him.

God puts us in positions of dire need to drive us to His feet to meet the need. He does this until we discover that sitting at His feet is the end...not a means to an end. You probably won’t see this but I’m going to pray so hard that God puts it on your heart to continue these because you speak so abundantly to my heart. You may not know it but you have a gift of leading people to Jesus and teaching them how God is working constantly. I pray you continue these devotionals and look into creating an avenue to do daily devotionals and talks like these for the thousands of women and men who are so eager to hear him speak through you. ❤️

Yes! Martha me...I have had to work at being a Mary and I know that my friends are the same. It's a gradual process becoming a Mary. Thank you for this message for it is the truth, we are intimate with HIM in everything if we just recognize it, IF we ask HIM to be with us... changing diapers, cooking, cleaning, driving, and most of all gardening. We love and pray for you and your family. You are a true gift.

Oh Jess, thank you. Thank you for opening my eyes to the fact that I had changed my desire of wanting to have a personal relationship with Jehovah and Jesus into a job that required study and passing tests to show I have knowledge. I treated time away from study as a recess in school, to get away and have some off time. Thank you for reminding me how much I appreciate that they are with me no matter what I'm doing and that I can talk with them all the time about anything. Jehovah knew some of us needed this message and that you were the right person to deliver it. Thanks again, I received peace and comfort from your message today.

What a delight to find another sister in Christ! What you shared is so much of what God has brought me to. Realizing that when I am offended is an alarm to show me that I’m not following what true love is as described in 1 Cor. 13 is going to be such a good tool for me! I’m taking care of my sweet 94 year old Momma and I struggle with a few past memories and offenses at times. Right now I’m flat on my back with muscle spasms in my shoulder having to let my husband take care of me. The Holy Spirit is showing me what my Momma is feeling, being a burden, effusive thanks, and her pain, which is lack of memory. You spoke into my life today.

"Well done my good and faithful servant" comes to mind. Like you, I was raised hearing "personal relationship with God." And, I thought I had one, but also like you, as I matured in Christ, I realized that I had it all wrong. It never was about following a checklist or do this but don't do that...that's legalism. We live by grace! Thank you Jesus!

Thank you Jess.❤ I remember feeling exactly the same way with that bible passage, I struggled with it. Raising kids isn't for the faint of heart and we pour out so much at that point in life. I have understood in my heart for a while that there are things I do that are just me loving other people. Right now my job is cleaning a college church, I am a janitor. But I don't clean toilets because I love to that, but I do it because I love our students. Believe me visiting with these kids makes it all worthwhile. The Lord has blessed me with our homestead and is a wonderful place of peace and joy. Thank you for putting into words what has been on my heart.

I will keep the “you feeling offensed is a white flag” in my heart. Because a outward reaction of hathred, distrust and harsh arguments will set off the mine that the flag marks. I am occasionally guilty of thatI must admit… Instead observing and thinking and pointing the finger inwards, finding my blind spot, calmness and compassion is what I will try going forward. This is also in line with the latest video from the Menonite Mom. I am not a follower of Christ, like Jess or Jeanine, but I deeply value their insight. Thank you Jess for this devotional. Jess this was so me raising my four children. I didn't become serious about serving Christ until I was in my mid 30's. It was like coming home when I finally tossed everything at His feet. He has been my all, especially when eight months later my husband left me to finish raising my four children. My job now 30 years later is to seek Christ 1st, then seeking Him on behalf of my children and grandchildren. 2nd is family and friends. I have seen so much of Christ moving in lives. Praise His name. Thank you so much Jess for taking time to speak to us personally.

@@bipslone8880 Hello, when we read the translation of the Bible we have to consider the fact that it was translated from Hebrew and Greek, which has such a rich background in their meaning. I believe the word fear when it was translated really meant to reverence or respect. Like the word repent simply means to change ones mind. There are a couple of books that were put together to help us more fully understand the true, richer meaning of words that, at the time of translating, didn’t really have a very good English counterpart. The Strongs Concordance is one of them and is free online. I hope this helps you a little bit in understanding the Bible and why it was written/translated the way it was by the King James scholars. I am no expert, but I remember having that exact same concern you voiced. Have an awesome day!

Oh I always look forward to these, Jess! I hope you never stop doing them. They always speak to me on exactly what it is I am currently struggling with. I often struggle with figuring out how to have a relationship *with* Jesus, because I can't see Him or hear Him, and I've always felt guilty about that or wondered if something was wrong with me. But after hearing your message and seeing that I am not alone in that, I have encouragement now. I have also struggled with getting frustrated with my son when I am trying to have my Bible study time and he interrupts me, but now I will remind myself to just be with him in those moments when he needs me while I am reading/journaling/etc and know that it is *okay* to be interrupted...that it isn't "messing anything up". I am currently in a season of wondering where to go and what to do as I am going through a divorce from my husband of 12 years, and on a journey to find myself again as I lost myself in my identity as a mother and a wife, but I will hold onto His promises and His perfect timing and trust that what is next is better than I could imagine. My husband is the one who wanted the divorce, and it's really hard to accept it and give up on a marriage when you know that you made a promise to God when you said your vows and I am so struggling with that. Thank you again, Jess, for doing these.
