Why do you spray with water first before the decoupage?

I did spray water on it just to get it a little wet first. It is not necessary to do that it will work just fine without. I found those napkins at Dollar General. Thank you for the nice comment and for watching!

I am using Clothesline rope. This sewing machine is amazing! I have had the more expensive machines but I am a firm believer in this machine! It will go through blue jean material like it is nothing and turn around and sew the perfect 1/4 inch for quilting.
