Very interesting but why the loud, unnecessary music?

Sorry to hear that, is it the essay you have difficulty with? -Roham

@@RoqeMedia The music during your interesting soliloquy at the beginning. If you insist on having accompanying music it shouldn't be at a volume that in any way impairs hearing what you are saying.

The main problem is everyone comes to Toronto instead of going to the smaller towns in Canada. Even though their visa was granted from those smaller towns. Our infrastructure, roads, public health services, schools, housing is not enough to support the countries citizens let alone all the new immigrants coming in.

I found the discussion about mandatory service in the IRGC confusing. For most young men in Iran, declining such service is not an option if they are drafted. I am now a Canadian citizen, but I served 30 years ago. At the time, I was a recent medical school graduate working as a general practitioner (GP). We had no choice but to complete six weeks (or perhaps eight-I can’t recall exactly) of mandatory training under the IRGC at the Shahid Montazeri military base in Kermanshah. Because I was recovering from cancer at the time, I didn’t even handle a gun during the training (a long story). After the training period, I spent the remainder of my two-year service practicing medicine in remote villages in the Azerbaijan province. Once my service was completed, I received a certificate of service as a second lieutenant-a rank automatically assigned to all doctors-issued by the IRGC. Did I have a choice in this? Absolutely not. And yet, decades later, I am still affected by the consequences of that mandatory military service. Many doctors living in Canada who share a similar history are facing issues, such as being banned from entering the U.S., flagged while traveling, or even blacklisted. The recent BBC Persian report highlights this troubling situation. You can watch it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iIawnIGfZr58rqssi=qQua9rBU2l8j7Gki.

deep down I knew this would happen. And with things settling down in Iran I dont think they will allow them to stay.

@30:50 Could someone translate what was said in Farsi about what the guest calls the "Persian mentality". Is it "let's see what happens"?

Yes, that's an exact translation. -Roham

Certainly not a good combination to brag about. Iran international, Farzad Farahzad, Mahsa Mortezavi and of course S. Aghdashloo.

The intro music was terrible. How could you not realize that such a prominent piece of music would affect the clarity and quality of the voice?
