As per standards for ship's manoeuvrability can i consider it for calculating my stopping distance For example ships length 185 m ,i consider 20 times the ships length which is approx about 20 cables so my stopping distance is 20 cables. If question was asked what speed should i proceed in oral exam? i dont have manoeuvering characterstics will this answer justify the question

The maximum distance is 20 x length of the ship. It may be less as well.
