What I love about Rory is how present he is on stage, he’s so in touch with the crowd and it’s a wonder to watch. So happy he’s finally on the pod!!

Most. Underrated. Ever. This man has a brain built for one thing - finding bits in the moment and exploding them

He's like Rainman but instead of counting the tooth picks he picks them up one by one and tastes them looking for a mint flavored one.

Rory Scovel is one of my favorite comedians of all time. Nobody else makes it feel more like the words being spoken are being spoken for the first time. Rory's comment at the beginning about jam bands is apt. I also love jam bands, and Rory's work has that quality of wanting to sit back and watch an artist work.

One of the best to ever do it. Rory just crushed two more improvised shows in Atlanta last weekend, it was amazing to see

Is he funny? Well, I’ve watched his special at least six times and I laugh my face off every time. He’s one of my favorites.

One of my favorite lifetime moments was having Rory Scovel on our no name show at a Seattle Festival. He just did the entire show in a German accent and left the stage w the micropone to go into the hall to interview strangers and people just listened in wonder. Super sweet guy. Mike also spent an hour just chatting with me behind a stage, i was freaking out....but he was so kind and fun to chat with. Few comics love the audience like these two. This is a beautiful era of comedy.

Mark normand told rory his set was like being on mushrooms with friends and it's still the best description of his stand up ive seen. Rory and Pete Holmes are the best comics ive ever seen live. So good I was almost angry that they werent giving us a break to catch our breath

Mike, these episodes are absolute gold and such a gift. Thank you immeasurably for asking such thoughtful questions and giving me a peak into you and your fellow comedians process. Such a wonderful way to spend my time watching! Keep going! Rory is an audience’s comedian and I love his art!

If you haven’t seen Rory Scovel live, do yourself a favor and see him in person, he is the MOST present and intuitively funny comedian I’ve ever seen(burr, Wong, rock, Maniscalco, and many more)

This rivals one of the most pretentious conversations I've ever heard. I'd have to be pretty LIT to talk like this with a straight face.

You mean talk passionately about a special interest? That's sad bro.

I stopped watching at 13 minutes because the depth of the conversation doesn't feel earned... because I don't know who Rory is. Maybe if I knew who Rory was a bit more before getting that deep I wouldn't have left. Who cares what I think, but I thought I would share. Keep up the good work.

If you want an introduction to his work, start with his 2013 "Full Set as a Southern Guy". He takes the stage in character and the vast majority if not all of it is improvised.

Give his HBO special a go then, worth a gamble. He's one of Conan's favourite stand-ups
