You act like you were just born tonight Face down in a memory but feeling all right So who does your past belong to today? Baby, you don't say nothing when you're feeling this way The girls in the bars thinking, "Who is this guy?" But they don't think nothing when they're telling you lies You look so careless when they're shooting that bull Don't you know heartaches are heroes when their pockets are full Tell me you're trying to cure a seven-year ache See what else your old heart can take The boys say, "When is he gonna give us some room" The girls say, "God I hope he comes back soon" Everybody's talking but you don't hear a thing You're still uptown on your downhill swing Boulevard's empty, why don't you come around? Baby, what is so great about sleeping downtown? Plenty of dives to be someone you're not You say you're looking for something you might've forgot Don't bother calling to say you're leaving alone 'Cause there's a fool on every corner when you're trying to get home Just tell 'em you're trying to cure a seven-year ache See what else your old heart can take The boys say, "When is he gonna give us some room" The girls say, "God I hope he comes back soon" Tell me you're trying to cure a seven-year ache See what else your old heart can take The boys say, "When is he gonna give us some room" The girls say, "God I hope he comes back soon"

You can hear shades of her father in her twang if you listen carefully. Rosanne Cash and K.T. Oslin were untouchable as far as pure raw singing. Unfortunately, like so many talented 80's and early 90's female singers, they were both very undervalued by Nashville and radio stations across the US.

Pray for your enemy. Not so much that it will do much good for them but that you release the hate and anger from your heart. Practice turning the other cheek. Practice patients. Be meek. Be humble. Come to Yeshua in the simlatude of that of a small child. For in our Heavenly Father's eyes we don't live long enough to be anything but children. Keep Yeshua's Commandments. Love Heavenly Father with all your heart, mind, soul and strength. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Yeshua's two great Commandments encompass all ten of that of his Heavenly Father. Keep Heavenly Father's Commandments. They are the harmonic balancer for equality for all of Heavenly Father's children. The Ten Commandments are the governor of responsibility and actions. If everyone obeyed these precepts there would be no more problems. Heavenly Father is love. Yeshua showed us that love. Love is the answer. LOVE!!!💞 The Truth when you find it, maybe the wisdom to rise above it. Never stop learning. Until you know what Heavenly Father knows, you still have room to grow. People fail for their lack of knowledge. The oil in your lamp is knowledge. Be a wise virgin. Be as wise as the serpent and as gentle as the dove. MAY HEAVENLY FATHER, HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON YESHUA AND THE HOLY SPIRIT GUIDE YOU AND BLESS YOU 🕊️👰.

I was fours year old when this song was released. I was raised by my grandparents of the greatest generation. My family did not listen to country music. I vividly remember this on the radio as my grandfather was cruising through the radio stations while driving somewhere. We had a 79 orange Honda Civic with that dreaded black vinyl upholstery. I was a quiet, docile, well behaved kid. I didn't pipe up much. My skin was burning from the black vinyl seat in the mid winter California sun. I remember calling out from the back seat to "hey let me listen to this song" which was bold for me being kid raised to be seen and not heard. Definitely not "hey my skin is burning on this black vinyl". It was magical. This song is magical. Her voice, pitch and enunciation is magical. Still one of my absolute favorite songs.

The best song she ever made and it’s timeless. Sang it Roseanne. 💗it’s way longer than 7 years. However thank The Lord for the blessing of hindsight and foresight.

Yesterday (01/09/24), I met with seven other book club members to discuss Composed by this singer. I started reading it but listened to the audio to hear Rosanne's voice. Rosanne, we loved it, and to those who might be reading my comment, find this book and get to know her. Rosanne, as an American Forces Radio and Television member, I played your Father's music. My signal started in Crete, Greece, and often went around parts of Europe! If you ever get to Northern Virginia, Ashburn in particular, stop at the library and ask about the book club discussing your book. I'm buying you dinner!

She is pure class. She isn't trying to sell her music by using her body in skimpy clothes. Her daddy taught her right.

@@russyeatman5631 Yes, June Carter Cash is an ex exceptional woman with grace, poise, and a strength to stand up against those who would pull her down.

Rosanne's mother was Johnny Cash' first wife. Johnny and June had 1 child together - a son. June had 2 daughters from her first marriage, I think. And John Cash had 3 daughters from his 1st marriage. Roseanne is the oldest I think. @@anitaharris9095

The moodiness of this song is 🔥. It’s the perfect blend of pop and country and the simplicity of her silky voice. Damn. You don’t need to always be able to hit whistle notes or have an outrageous range. Sometimes just smooth as buttah is enough. ❤️

It certainly didn't hurt Karen Carpenter either. She never needed to hit those "whistle high" notes, because doing that would only show one's ego, not necessarily talent.
