I believe your reasoning is a good one. Kamala is a poor candidate, and the way she raised to the top is quite undemocratic. She just got promoted to the top with no competition which is ridiculous and irresponsible from the party. However, she has gotten much better at understanding and debating policy, law and rights, and although her decisions are still flawed, one can appreciate the effort and improvement. Something I cannot say about Trump unfortunately. I understand the idea of liking a non politician and wanting lower taxes, hell fuck taxes, but a simple comparison at each others debates and rally points shows who has an interest for the people and not themselves.
@PadeJuan3 ай бұрын
Also thank you for bringing up your opinion about politics and being mature about its importance. I also agree with you that it is something we should all talk about rather than to just keep to ourselves so we can learn more through constructive criticism

@@PadeJuan and thank you for being mature about it. That was the most balanced and fair take i've heard. The separation and animosity between whos voting for who is causing half the problem, the world needs more people like you. I'm from Australia, so I don't know that much regarding other potential candidates for the democrats, but like you said, regardless of how competent she is to run a country, she is the candidate that, i believe, wants to do whats best for all American people, something I don't think can be said about Trump. Ultimately, if elected, Kamala will have a whole government full of advisors and experts on areas that maybe she is not as experienced in; she's not just running the country completely by herself, and she seems like someone who will really actually listen to and use the thoughts and expertise of others, unlike not only Trump, but probably like 70% of world leaders, who all tend to think they know best.

I just started watching your videos and I respect how you stand by your values and actually live them - that's rare these days. ❤️🔥 You're right about the importance of politics. And I'm hoping I found the right words to say that express my thoughts boldly, and at same time show that I'm not looking for a fight - rather, that I'm on your side: values-focused and thoughtful, inspired to share my thoughts. Keep in mind that my feelings are not at stake. I am driven by my values, so feel free to call me crazy: Trump and the MAGA movement are attempting to dismantle democracy in broad daylight. --- One thing I've learned is that people's politics aren't only partisan. There are folks who pick a team based on their values. And that means that their positions can evolve as circumstances change. I'm in the second category. As a Canadian, I voted conservative party, then liberal party - because I voted based on wht each party stood for at that moment. Neither were great, but neither were existential, thankfully. You're absolutely right abt how consequential politics is. While it has always mattered, the stakes have become much higher. Globally, we're seeing a trend where democratic choices (or the loss of them) are having unprecedented impact (at least relative to our lifetimes, n living in the West). Namely, the stakes have never been quite this high in the USA's history. Current day American politics isnt just about typical disagreements.America now has a leader who openly praises authoritarian figures, has attempted to overturn election results, and refers to January 6th participants as "hostages." Just imagine if Harris was president, and said "Fight or we wont have a country again", followed by inaction as her followers attempted to prevent the process that underpins the democracy that she would've represented. The MAGA movement has revealed itself as a fundamental threat to democratic institutions. Democracy might seem unshakeable - with its centuries of tradition and institutions. But the reality is that its only as strong as the people willing to defend it. Consider how a few principled officials in Georgia, Arizona, and Michigan did their duty to prevent the invalidation of millions of votes as requested by Donald Trump himself. And consider the incredulousness of DT taking 100s (1000s?) of classified docs n getting away with it. Consider the fact that a single accidentally unsecured/compromised secret-level doc will land a guy in prison - due to of the stakes surrounding national security. Consider that for a hot minute. The situation is made more dangerous by how social media accelerates misinformation.When campaign lawyers admit in court they lack evidence of fraud while claiming the opposite on television, it exposes a dangerous duplicity. The same voices tht alleged election theft now characterize January 6th participants as "peaceful tourists," despite extensive video evidence. This transcends traditional conservative versus liberal values. Its abt preserving the foundational principle that citizens - not politicians and their allies - should determine their governance through democratic processes. The fact that some political leaders now openly challenge these most core democratic norms in actuality reveals the fragile parts of the system that were not previously seen. We're witnessing in real-time what history has taught us about how democracies can erode - when institutions are co-opted, when loyalty to individuals supersedes loyalty to democratic principles, and when foreign adversaries' talking points find their way into mainstream political discourse. I feel your frustration abt how everyone seems to be picking extreme sides these days. But that's exactly how authoritarians thrive - they thrive in division and confusion. They (now, at least in the west) piggyback on social media's amplification of outrage (real and manufacturd). At the core, in this very moment, the fight is not about policy or left-vs-right ideas. It's about the core elements of what allows such a democratic system (an evolving system that provides the underpinnings for freedom of opinion, expression, freedom to vote, etc) to exist. Here's what gives me hope: Americans have shown they get wht matters. When push comes to shove, they stand up for their democratic values - not the big-D Democratic, rather the small-d democratic principles that built their nation (it's not the size, it's how you... nvm 😂). From those Republican election officials choosing country over party to everyday people waking up to whats at stake, im optimistic about where this ends up.

For what its worth, not acc seen joker 2 but seen a few critics and viewers say that the reason the vibe is so differrent for the second film compared to joker 1 is because the director didnt like how people were taking inspiration from and making personas based on a fundamentally flawed character who while fucked by the system still is a terrible person. So like the entire film is a middle finger to people who 'enjoyed the film for the wrong reasons' - not a direct quote just an interpretation of what I read. Yeah bruv I’m actually so disappointed in this take, it’s very clear based on what you know about Kamala that whatever content ur consuming is pretty biased. Firstly, Kamala is definitely not the best possible candidate, most people can see this, but just because we’d rather her doesn’t mean we love her and the fact this is what you think of dems again shows the bias. Also you talk about how the us president is important on the global stage but you like the guy who wants to focus everything domestically. Neither candidate is good, only one is a facist who denied the results of a free and fair election and tried to illegally remain in power, a proven racist and womaniser, a literal criminal, and someone who plans to use the military on ‘the enemy within ‘.

My take wasn’t an endorsement for Trump but rather to highlight how mostly neither side can fathom criticism of their candidate. I think there are people in the Republican Party who are better candidates than Trump for sure. And I for sure think there are people in the DP who are much better candidates than Kamala. In fact, I’d argue that 2020 Joe Biden was a better candidate. 3 years on, his cognitive decline was telling. I think he picked the wrong VP; if he wanted to pick a woman that’s fantastic but he had to pick a more competent one. Of which there are a few. Regardless of whose side one is on, it is in the best interest of the world, not just America, that he/she is a competent candidate
