Your videos always remind me of my working days.. this is one I have a lot of memories I'd as soon forget. I have a 26 Year old grandson who is disabled but he is probably the best helper I've ever had. If 🎉 I am doing the same thing over and over. He always stands and watches for the first one and then he jumps in and does a great job. But I had a problem with him he always took my tools and I didn't have anything to do with. Finally I got smart and would lay out two sets of tools. Problem solved. If only I could of had a helper like that during my working days.😊

Before that had to fix the tractor mend fenches cut trees and whatever else needed to be done. So yeah by time I made it to the trades had a pretty good idea what a screw driver was he'll even knew how to use one. I know hard for you youn wet behind the ears pups these days to understand what anything is outside your video games. But trust me once upon a time kids knew more about tools then they did video games.

Honest mistakes are fine, it's the ones who obviously just don't care that get me. Like when i started on rail we were building track switches(where the trains change lines), on the third one the boss forgot the plans and went back into town to get them and by the time he got back i'd had it half built from memory because i was paying attention. Fast forward to a week ago i now work at a meat processing plant smoking meat and doing smallgoods, new guy is starting and i just get him packing some goods, ingredients sticker goes on the bottom right with a use-by date sticker next to it and then put them into the box neatly, i leave an example in front of him on the table so he can see it...come back 20 mins later to no date stickers, ingredient stickers slammed on anywhere with the final product smashed into the boxes. At that point you wonder if they're truly f&^king with you and your mentally asking them why they're here if they didn't want to do the job in the 1st place.

I was assigned to apprentice for a guy that asked for a screw driver. It's in the back of the van in a bucket and it's blue, you can't miss it he said. So I get to the van and there in the bucket is about fifteen different blue screw drivers. He was already shouting from the roof 'What's taking so long? Don't you know what the color blue is!? Why are you so useless!? It's blue! Bring me the blue one!' They are all blue I said are you deaf!? I will bring the whole bucket up to you. 'No your an idiot and now I have to come down there and get it myself because apprentices are useless!' So he ignores all the other blue screw drivers and grabs the one he wanted and said for the rest of the week my name would be useless which was better than loser the week before. Why am I putting up with an apprenticeship again? Oh yeah... earn while you learn can't be beat...
