Just did, last night. Only 50 people in the audience in Seattle. She opened with this, then on to Farmer’s Wife. At that point I could have gone home a happy man, but was blessed with another 90 minutes of her.

Very few songs destroy me and understand how my soul feels at a particular time. This is one of them. I am wrecked. Imagine feeling this way over and over and over and over again for the same person. Yes I still keep getting up. It’s what I’m supposed to do.. love him. My heart just keeps loving. I didn’t give up. I won’t give up. But yet I can feel so depleted and defeated sometimes. So empty. Everytime I feel like I’m dying, this supernatural strength that isn’t my own kicks in and gets me up.. hoping, trusting, enduring. Held by someone greater and a purpose that is greater than my own. It’s the only explanation.

I love this song and Rose Cousin's music and very funny live shows. (Perhaps not her way with support.) I would love if this song was somehow rewritten as a love song. A wedding day song. Finally giving in. Love winning...I belong to you. That's how I hear it....Those waves (of love) washing over and consuming her in this haunting video. Probably cause it's just too sad the other way. (Yikes somehow arrived here after listening to Rufus and Emmylou singing 'When the hunger's gone.' Wonder if both songs were written in November in Canada...coming)
