I appreciate what you do man. Do you have a video you can point people to so rather than buying this or other crap boots they can get something better? If you had a video you could put in this and future videos description so users dont have to search though all your videos to find out whats the best. A good way is to probably have the best value boot for different price brackets; but having a video that shows the best quality boot for the lowest price is probably the most important of all. And whenever you do find a low quality boot like this, always mention a few alternatives you like. Your experience is invaluable and you can make a better decision than anyone else so please share, because from watching this video alone, i have no idea what else i should buy.

@the_swoletariat16213 күн бұрын
@@gregoryfilin8040 I’ve really enjoyed the thorogood 1957’s with a different insole that’s available at a boot shop near me. I’ll eventually be getting myself the 8” JK Forefront bison’s. The 1957’s outsoles are comfortable and more durable than the 10877’s or the Christy’s. Weston’s pair got water in them, but the two I’ve already had (and I just got a new pair last week for Ironworking, no steel toe or heel for climbing steel instead of wood) have been really water resistant!
@LrulestheworldM83 күн бұрын
@@gregoryfilin8040I went to a local boot store near me. I had them not only fit me for a pair that I'd like, but also measure my feet and provide me with insoles. I settled on a pair of red wings at $250. (They've actually been featured on this channel.) Great boots, and I'm comfortable all day long with no issues. I tried lots of different boots, but I'd recommend thorogood or red wing. They may not cost as much as the big boot brands like danner, but they are some of the most affordable and well made boots money can buy these days. I would highly recommend going to see a local cobbler near you. Regular shoe stores aren't it.

I have jks for hunting and love them. Just cant justify the price. I do flooring systems and concrete, I eat through even high quality boots every year. The really high end $800 boots are beat of the best no question, and to me its worth it for a pair of boots i can take care of. But for boots i blow through in a year no matter what it just cant make sense, no matter how much i want a pair of nicks mocs to work in. I was a loyal red wing and thorogood guy but just got some whites perrys and am so happy. Value for price on those is outstanding, i cant see ever switching unless i suddenly start making lots of money and decide to get custom work boots every year hahaha (probably wont happen)

@@markdoumert How do you wear through your boots doing concrete labor? I'd hope you take good care of your hands then
@markdoumertКүн бұрын
@@KB-fk3jj Mostly blow through the toes. I use tufftoe on everything, normally by the time i wear through the tuff toe the soles are gone and the upper is worn enough its not worth resoling, generally around 1 year or so. I do my best to take care of myself lol. Generally I wear big rubber gloves with long cuffs while im rodding and placing the mud, when you are actually finishing the concrete you dont really have to to stick your hands in it, so the big gloves come off and it doesn’t really do any harm. 👍
