As someone who’s been buying the Adidas Yeezys since 2015, the one thing I hate about the 350 V2s is that cage around the toes. I understand it’s there so the knit won’t overstretch and lose its shape, but sometimes after wearing the shoe 10+ hours you start feeling it in your toes.

I got the oreos in recently after only wearing the mono 350v2s (which are fine) and that toe cage seems like it's going to be a sweat trap. Sure it's vented but I don't want a slick plastic cage over my toes when I'm going for that breathable sock/slipper feeling. Has that been a problem for you or just that they're a bit cramped?

@@wonton6227 it’s not size, it’s actually feel. When that’s a main part of the shoe that gets pressure you move forward, it rubs into the toes quite a bit and causes mild chaffing. I delivered pizza in a pair of 350 v2s for about a year. I blew holes in the sides of the prime knit on both shoes, and wore the outsole down completely bare on the front half of the right one (drivers foot), and put holes in the in-soles from where my toes would sit. I wore them rain, sun, snow, mud, didn’t matter, I have completely submerged them up to my ankles multiple times and basically waded through a river once during a particularly downpoury night. I wanted to see how they would hold up. I can say that I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable they were throughout the entire process even up till the end, at some point I ditched the laces since they are basically for show anyway and after the year of 10 hr shifts 5 days a week my feet never hurt, I never got blisters, never had any hot spots or anything. They definitely are worn, and as I mentioned there are holes on the sides but if I really wanted to I could still throw those on and go to work.

The only part of these that I find interesting is like you said the resemblance to ancient shoes. There is a school of thought coming back around where softer, stretchier materials are better for the feet ( see victorian era shoe styles also). The only issue currently getting in the way of it becoming a more common thing is that brands like this are selling them for price points that do not match the reality of minimalist design.

I've worn my 350 V2s pretty frequently over the past two years, and haven't had any issues with the primeknit failing or moisture in the midsole. The primeknit is so breathable that you don't really sweat when you wear them, so they seem to stay pretty fresh. They would absolutely fall apart if you did anything that was hazardous for your shoes, but from regular wear around the city, mine still look and feel great.

@@makatron I haven't noticed any degradation of the sole, boost is pretty awesome for not getting compacted with wear. The biggest concern for wear, in my opinion, is the shell around the boost at the heel. If you drag your heels, you will burn through that pretty quickly, and the boost will be fully exposed and break down. I don't drag my heels and haven't had this problem, but it's probably the biggest design flaw if you're wearing them normally.

I had a pair of 350’s in Oxford tan and I live in Scotland. I once wore them to the office on a day it snowed so heavy the buses were cancelled and I had to walk about 9 miles home through snow in them. Water got in between the harder exterior rubber and the boost foam and froze and expanded and f**ked them up. The harder rubber hit was ok but the foam crumbled on the sole so I ended up using them like slippers at home. The 380’s are a bit more sturdy but if you have wide feet the cage bit at the forefoot to help them keep their shape isn’t as comfortable after a few hours of wearing plus the padding just inside the heel is unnecessary.

i've been using an eltraboost 19 since it's release and i've gotta say during those years they served me well i've used them almost every other day, and they are still to this day really comfortable the boost havent compressed cracked or did anything like that. As for the primeknit it is a strong material but yes if something cuts just a little it will start to fall apart but i think my ultraboosts riped less it just has some loose threads sometimes not quite as drastic as in that yzy350v2. Excelent video i've been waiting for this kind of shoes since you did the joyrides. recomendations if you are planing to make it into a series: -alphafly next% -almost any ultraboost -vapormax -almost any primeknit nmd -bc you are a boot guy i think the air force one special field would be interesting -nite jogger -any Nike shoe with zoom air in it -the yeezy boots (i belive it was the yeezy 500high) -any kind of sock runner (the "originals" are the Balenciaga speed trainers but they are expensive af and i dont think it would make an interesting vid but they are the OG) -acronym presto -any kind of Nike space hippie and so much more but these came to my mind rn keep up the good work :)

Can you do a video comparing men's and women's work boots from 1 or 2 brands? I’ve heard from a few women that women's work boots are less durable compared to mens. It would be interesting to see if there’s a notable difference between quality/durability when it comes to work boots. Like comparing Redwing’s TRACTION TRED LITEs (Style 3537 and Style 2442), which are 259.99 for men and 269.99 for women. Is the price difference because the women’s boot is marked as puncture resistance, or are we paying more for the same boot. Thank!

@Amaru. so? they are just shoes. no matter what the price point is. shoes are shoes. and if people want to spend 300 dollars on shoes then they are actually stupid. may as well not wear them if you care that much about it.
@metalvideos1961
@metalvideos1961 2 жыл бұрын
@Amaru. no it isnt. its just a piece of fabric. the reason why its so expensive is because of the brand name and because kanye west name is on those shoes. thats why its expensive. you can buy much cheaper shoes with better quality. brands decide to make those shoes ridiculous expensive. which literally makes no sense. and i doubt those shoes are actually produced in america as well. probably made in some sweat shop like most expensive brand clothes is produced.
@metalvideos1961
@metalvideos1961 2 жыл бұрын
@Amaru. yes and it makes no sense why it should cost so much. thats my point. 300 dollar for some ugly ass shoes? and people cry about it because of it? its just sad. its sad in general to cry about clothes being destroyed or what ever only because its expensive. expensive or not it shouldn't matter. also you didnt pay for it Who Ameye didnt pay for it. the guy in the video paid for it. so he can do what ever he wants with it. doesnt affect your wallet nor anyone's else. even more reason its stupid to cry about it.

Jordan's and nikes are completely rubbish. I've owned countless pairs over the past 20 years. I am an avid collector and have pairs I haven't even worn. One thing Jordan's and nikes have in common: They all perish and oxidize after fuck all time - even if you don't wear them. Jordan's and nikes are the epitome of bullshit hype. On the other hand I have Reeboks and asics I have collected from the 90s that still hold up to this day, no oxidizing and leather is still amazing af. Fuck Nike, fuck Jordan's. End of story.

I think if you're looking for comfort you would get from the Yeezy 350 v2s, maybe pick from the large selection of boost shoes Adidas offers like the ultraboost, solar boost, etc. What's awesome is you can find ultraboost often for around $100... The cheapest Yeezy 350 on my size 11 goes for 250 and above on stockx and goat... I love the solar boost a bit more than the ultraboost because the upper is built more like a traditional running shoe...like having gussetted tongue, comfy mesh or techfit upper, and light stability features with the guide rails on the sides. Anyway, great video as always!!

I have worn Ultraboost's since 2015, V1's to V5, 19's and 20's loved them all; had one pair of 350's and could not wear them-the inner toe cap thing drove me nuts, so uncomfortable. Standard boost primeknit is way more comfortable. Worst thing about boost is the white mid soles look scabby after a few weeks wear-especially the inner heel area; black or coloured boost foam looks better for longer. 4D's are also great-not as comfortable as boosts-but the 3d printed mid soles would be well worth cutting in half for a look .

i saw the cheap chinese and cheaper imitation of yeezy first before i knew about yeezy hence i cannot see them expensive shoes....then i've got the UB DNA and the upper is more sock like than the 20...but 20 is good enough for slow running for me and the upper is soft as well....i got the zx 4d runner and it was the softest 4d that i've tried before and the upper is even softer than the UB DNA...upper wise not good for running...too soft and really like a sock if you got the correct sizing.

Hey! I dunno if i had anything to do with this but i suggested cutting these and getting your take on em. I absolutely love my Yeezys. My first pair I ran to the ground and they held up very well for 3 years. I did landscaping in them and they were my only shoes for that whole time. Never had an issue with odor or rips and tears. I guess if anything, the sole did start to flake away but again, thats after years of wear. Boost is beyond amazing and i will always br a champion for it. I understand the price is a little high but it had to be for Kanye to start to sell them. The hope is that after his contract with Adidas ends, they will be more accessable. "Yeezys for everyone"

There is no reason to hate on no hype boost shoe models. Boost foam is more comfortable( soft, energy return ) than standard eva foam. Primeknit is more stretchy and breathable than mesh. Even the yeezy is something you buy as a rare fashon piece, so obviously wont be vievied as worth for people whi do not care about word of designers and limited editions.

And then you realise that the costs you mentioned apply to every shoe maker out there. Yet, in most cases the gap between materials and pricing is far smaller. Unless these things are made by hand, which I very much doubt, manufacturing costs aren't going to be very high. There's not a whole lot going on in terms of design either. There's a difference btween judging products based only on the price of their materials and realising that nothing in the product itself justifies the pricing. In the end this is just a game of supply and demand, with a generous sprinkling of artificial exclusivity and a dash of FOMO.

I am a delivery driver and I only buy Boost souled shoes, not the Kanye nonsense, but the Boost souls are without a doubt the best soul. I have tried far more expensive Brooks shoes, and that other running company that pricey, but they don't propel you nearly as much as a boost soul. With a fresh pair of shoes I finish my routes noticeably faster. I go through 3-4 pairs a year, but they are worth it.

Overall this seems like a hype sneaker that’s actually good, most hyped up sneakers are trash quality and uncomfortable. But this is actually comfortable and even if it’s not the most durable, it’s not like people need to worry since no one is gonna use this for sport anyway. I’m also actually a big fan of the looks, it does look a bit wacky but I like the design. Although it is kinda overpriced since it really is just ultraboost’s with a different fabric, yet they sell for other 100$ more.

Can you find other sneakers that are so comfortable in the same level or higher, and to looks good and have that view from side people who do not have them, - hard to find. My conclusion - if you have money, go for it. If not have, save - Your body will pay you off later on.
