I've seen it mentioned here already, but anybody who ordered for $200 could get their refund for the additional 180 they paid. Kanye had a pretty famous quote about wanting to sell clothes and shoes for $20 so everybody would have an opportunity to get them, and like you speculated it's generally agreed upon that the $200 was just to be a marketing thing, especially sense all the extra money was set aside and refunded right away(by request) after the discounted price was announced. Also even at $200, it did have some pretty good sales(for some reason), nothing compared to old yeezy's but because of that I'm inclined to think that it was always planned on being discounted and not dont just because of poor sales.

Hey guys, love the video. Im a sock expert been working on sock circular knitting machines as a mechanic technician and technical designer since 2015. I began working for stance sock back in 2012 -2019 and I can confidently tell you these are FAR from being a compression sock especially a medical grade compression sock. The YZY POD has more of the construction of a knitted shoe upper as opposed to an actual sock. A sock has a large latter stretch and recovery using 3 yarns - body yarn usually cotton, spandex and elastic. A knitted shoe needs to be rigid with almost no lateral movement or stretch and uses 2 yarns - body usually Nylon or Polyester plus elastic yarn. This is an extremely floppy glorified plastic bag made of Nylon or worst off polyester with no structure to it at best it's a middle ground between a sock and a knitted shoe if that. It also features a modified heel shape and reinforced yarn around the heel to try to prevent blow out but fails miserably at it. It also has what we call a "Roll-top" welt and it rolls over as you can clearly see. its a crappy money grab and a lot of people ate it up, and other brands are following suite. DONT FALL FOR IT !!
