My grandmother kept a small bucket of rosemary in all the rooms of her house. She insisted that during the Spanish Flu it is what kept her family free of it. When she changed out the water she poured the spent water around her house and it seemed to fertilize her roses. They grew up and created a gorgeous hedge around her home.

@@Rose-ht3xc Sure, please understand I am not a doctor and I am telling you what worked for me. I use 3 drops of organic rosemary essential oil with 1 tablespoon of jojoba oil and rub it into my scalp, wrap a towel around my head and leave on for 30 minutes. Don't do this more than twice a week, I do it every 4th day. Then I wash my hair as usual with a paraben free shampoo and conditioner. In addition to my daily vitamin I take some additional vitamins, b complex, 3000 mcg biotin additionally to the b complex, 250 mg vitamin C, 50 mg zinc with copper vitamin and just in case my thyroid needed some help I take 150 mcg kelp for some natural iodine. Sometimes hair loss is caused by our thyroid. I was sick in december, I am still taking these vitamins and I might continue to take them at least until december this year. You might need to tweak things for yourself as our bodies are all different. Good luck, let me know if you have additional questions. Honestly, I can not tell you which one is the most important because I started taking the vitamins all at the same time except for daily which I always take. I was panicking because of the amount of hair loss I was having. But, I didn't start the hair oil treatment until about 3 weeks after the vitamins and that is when i noticed a difference. Not sure if it was because the vitamins finally kicked in or if it was the oil treatment. Or maybe it was a combination of both.

I use it when cleaning its a good insecticide. I create a conditioner for hair treatment for nits mixing it with rosemary neem and lavender or eucalyptus - which makes a good flea wash for animals too! I mix it into my vapour rub for colds. And with my lamb shank roast.

I did a double take when I saw this title. I have a friend named Rosemary Benefield which is only a couple letters different from rosemary benefits! I'll have to tell her about this. 😄

I tried growing rosemary from a shoot but was unsuccessful....I've heard it is difficult to grow this herb. Watching your video on the subject, I've decided to try again, paying a bit more attention to its planting method.... thank you for this informative video. I'm encouraged to not give up!

Rosemary is not one I have tried growing from cuttings or even seed but instead bought young plants from our local nursery. There are a few things it is just easiest to do it that way.

I use rosemary fresh and dehydrated in my cooking, made soap and my mum used it in her hair, don’t know how. Thanks for another superb and informative video.

I've been using and growing herbs for 45 years. My rosemary (18 years old) is very large and currently covered with many flowers. I use the EO in soaps and make rosemary tea to use instead of water. I cook with it but haven't done it know many of the uses you described. Thanks so much for sharing.

I use it in *’everything’* including salad dressing, lol 😆 and tea! And my flu concoction. Thanks for putting this on your channel today. I grow it. But I bring it in for the winter lately because it’s not surviving winter. It’s enjoyable having Rosemary growing in my home with mint and thyme.

@@kimberlykay130 I agree! I would love to see the answer to that question! 💜

@@kimberlykay130 I had the same problem so now I just keep it outdoors year round. It's been growing in a huge terra cotta pot for 10 years and it overwinters fine in a south exposure next to the house (zone 8B, WA state). Even gets covered with snow occasionally - no problem. I'm scared to even prune it - it seems to thrive on neglect! And it won't tolerate plastic pots because it seems to need to breathe and release moisture.

Almost all organic raw meats are now processed with rosemary oil. I used to have a rosemary plant at one of my homes. It was beautiful and so tough. Survived high heat and low water.

I always have rosemary in my garden for luck. We Mainly use it to jazz up roasted veggies and on roasted poultry. And pork. I live in the deep south so I pick some around Christmas and crush rhe leaves and set around the house to freshen up the winter air.

When I use to grow Rosemary I enjoyed putting it in brown gravy. Just crack the leaves a bit and put the whole unstriped section (do not need much) into the gravy(when the gravy is done) and stir while tasting the whole time. It does not take long to add the flavor and you do not want it to strong, just more of a background taste. Thank you for your videos and time :)

Thanks for this. You cover a lot of ground in a little amount of time. The NIH site is an excellent resource site. I now have a reason to propagate the plant into all rooms of the house for winter by using a grow light to get them started. I can plant it with Thyme, Lavender, and Sage. The four would provide an excellent aroma for the room and they need less water than other plants. All of which have excellent properties for health. This also points to essential oils combined with a carrier oil for personal health uses.
