Yes, we already know that the best engines are better than the best humans, but it's interesting to see how far the humans can go up the ladder before it becomes to difficult. Incredibly specific comment, but as someone who is learning chess I see, at 9:59 , Bd2 as a either a guaranteed mate in 2 if black moves the Knight anywhere OR keeps it stationary, with the only possible out being Kg7 to run away in which case at least you're guaranteed a knight with a response of f2. I don't presume to be good enough to see something an IM doesn't (at least not quite yet :), so could someone either tell me what I'm missing, or give me the enormous ego boost of saying "wait no you're right."

10:31 so I’m pretty new to chess so this might be an obviously bad move for some reason I don’t see, but why not move Bd2? It defends e3 which was the goal of Eric’s plan, so a fork can be set up by Ne5, but it also puts that somewhat inactive bishop into a position where it’s defending a valuable position. I suppose black could respond with Ne4, but you could respond with Ne5+, forcing the king to move, then Nxc6, threatening blacks bishop. It seems like pressure gets put on a lot faster and doesn’t give black the opportunity to make the moves it wants to. Again I’m not super great at chess so if someone could confirm this is the right move or tell me why not I’m all ears.
