Man good thing I had this halfway finished XD anyway rosie was alot of fun to think about though I find her the most boring design out of the HH universe her past info and current info made thinking about her and the possibilities so much more fun for me also at some point I will be making introduction videos on all the overhaul casts how I've planned this to go is I will explain what I'm doing premise wise and talk about the world building then I'll introduce who stayed and there roles and the last video will be made similar to a pitch bible where I'll story show shots of what I'd like to happen this will all probably be 3 videos plus some extras it wont be a comic or re write it's more a what if hazbin was my idea first kinda thing XD

More likely due to the typical restrictions on attire there , she only walked around the very edges of Cannibal Town when needed. She was also very highly distracted due to personal issues, so she only looked up after Alastor lead her directly to the dead center of the CT. I feel if a town known to attack those not properly dressed for it, you wouldn't realize you were in it if no one even came close to you while you're in a daze.

Back then, woman used to have hats with taxidermied birds as decoration. I think it was a more victorian thing to do, but having Rosie embalm some of her victims remais is such an endearing thing to think about!

Yeah, I like Rosie's design as it showcases her eloquent and polish look while also looking dapper and refine; which makes sense since she owns a large town and has a lot of power and influence over said area, possibly even beyond (at least beyond Pentagram City since it's mainly where the Pride Ring is). But this design definitely still has the old Victorian style while also making her look more menacing and scary in comparison.

Mixing teeth with roses is actually a nice subtle nod to the fact that roses, specifically their stems, have thorns. Also, she gives me La Muerte vibes, which I'm going bonkers for cause her design is just chef's kiss.

Also, the fact that there’s so many teeth is inherently frightening, due to the implications that naturally come with a cannibal wearing anything even vaguely bone-shaped Anyway, we love a reduce-reuse-recycle icon

I love how committed you are to giving Hell-borns eldritch, ambiguous elements to their designs. It creates a uniquely horrifying aesthetic without relying on blood or audience interpretation of what lies in the shadows. This design has so much life and static personality to the point that I can already hear the subtle vocal effect and audible, squelching walk that this Rosie could have if animated.

Oh my god, thank you for making her more historically accurate! The show's absolute refusal to make historically accurate designs is so effing frustrating to me. Your Rosie is so unique and creepy looking, she's honestly perfect! I especially like the skirt's design, it's very creative! It's such a big inspiration, along with all your other works! Also side note: It's maybe just me, but I'm kinda disappointed with the variety of the show when it comes to era based characters. Like, almost every sinner we know died in the 20th century (with the exception of Sir P., Velvette and probably Zestial), and even those don't stick to their era's fashion. I kinda wish there was more variety in death dates, and heck, even cultures of origin. Sorry for the rambling, fashion history is my passion.

@@LovesArt23Yeah, Zestial especially irks me. I heard from someone that version of English he uses was spoken during the 14-15 century. A renaissance design for him would have been so interesting (or maybe an early baroque look, since many associate his version of English with Shakespeare). But instead we got another guy with a top hat. I've been contemplating on making my own redesign for him to be honest, because I can't stand the oldest known overlord as another Vivzie top hat™ wearing dude.

Pretty sure this is now my favorite Hazbin/Helluva character re-design. Before the show came out, I was personally really excited to see Rosie in the show. When I saw her in it, I thought she was okay, but I admit the hype died down as she wasn't nearly as creepy as I thought she'd be. I mentioned this because your design pushed all the right buttons on the creep factor! The bones and teeth flaring out make her look more predatory, the fleshy parts make her look more grotesque, and her sickly skin gives me much more monstrous vibes. It's just a really competent and solid design that communicates much more Hellish energy, so great job!

If there's something I love with this Rosie it's her skeleton-like appearence! I used to think she looked this way because it refered to "Dios de los Muertos" but... When I learnt she was actually British I was confused... But here! It's the main theme! The skeleton mixed with the flesh on the hat reminds me of a rotting cadaver buried under a rose bed! It's amazing! And since she's a cannibal the flesh theme is even more brilliant! I assume she's the Overlord of Gluttony!

I’m excited of what you have in the Overhaul AU Despite Hazbin being about Charlie using her hotel to redeem sinners, it’s not explored enough In my opinion, the series seem to focus in lore of characters and other major plot points than the hotel itself. Like I enjoy the story, but no one has even bothered to visit Charlie’s hotel for 5 months. That would be plenty of time to introduce side characters 😭😭😭 But love what you did with Rosie. I don’t mind her personality since her being a motherly figure made sense to me, since cults act nice and hospitable to lure new members or prey, but I didn’t like how that’s what we’re introduced to when we meet Rosie Anyway, super excited to hear about the Overhaul au soon, especially Fonda lol(I’m in love with his hat).

7:26 this gave me the idea that maybe rosie would have a big distorted stomach, which would allude to the weird style of dresses back then. It could be due to her eating yk, flesh and other not-so-easy to digest stuff which would form a big mass in her stomach, which then would in turn cause her to become malnourished bc the mass was obstructing her intestines, not allowing her to properly absorb the nutrients (if there is any nutrients in demon flesh). i think it would add an interesting dynamic to her character, and maybe how she (and other cannibals as well) deal with "expelling" the bones and other gore they've ingested. after they had "cleansed" themselves they would become famished, as their stomachs were now empty, and they would go on a rampage and eat everything/everyone in sight, starting the cycle all over again. anyway, completely random and kinda obscure idea, but thought i would share! love the vid and redesigns!!!

She looks really pretty. The colors are similar to her original look but by tweaking them and rearranging the placement of the colors you have made her stand out greatly I don’t think this version will get lost even in a red environment. I like the roses and more fantastical elements to her design and I agree I do wish that there was more hellish elements to the characters. I understand modern sinners dressing in more normal looking clothes but the only ones that seem to stand out at all are the animal sinners and even then it’s not that much. Can’t wait to see what you create next.

Ugh if only Roise was hellborn it would have made her interesting and given the pride ring a hell species. They said she’s not since the cannibal kid was shown being attack by Vaggie making, them all be sinners. I’m only guessing the instagram and comics aren’t canon anymore, but oof they need to put some of this info in the show. Feel like the show is more of a game theory type lore where you have to dig and piece together things, which could work if it was a game. Not a show 😅. Anyway, I’m eating this design! It’s so gory and beautiful which makes it so cool. If more demons had a more darker edge to them it would separate them from sinners a lot more. Wonderful work!

An idea for Rosie's personality: she might have a strong culinary curiosity, which in her case means that every time she meets a new type of demon (example: a TV demon like Vox) she will want to know what it tastes like. Which means that after her first meeting with Charlie (who is half demon and half angle), Rosie would like a bit (or a bite) of Charlie's Blood as payment. Oh and for worldbulding, I would see the existence of hell bees which politicize demonic flowers, but they do not gather nectar but tears, which means that they are also attracted by other creatures ( I was inspired by the butterflies in the Amazon who drink the tears of turtles and caimans to obtain their minerals).

I love Rosie in the show I feel like due to the budget being put towards VAs, the writing and designs were oh-so lackluster. Congratulations to Viv for having her passion project picked up but the writing....god the writing and time of the episodes hurt my brain. Like Pentious, as mentioned by Angel said he attacked them 6 hours ago yet to the audience it doesn't feel like it, I know it's hard to convey time jumps, but everything felt like a speedrun due to only having 8 episodes. Not to mention the songs came out of nowhere, usually in musicals they are kind of set up in a way, yet Charlie starts singing about her hotel to Adam out of nowhere. Don't get me wrong I am happy we finally got Hazbin Hotel after so long, just feel like the budget was put into the wrong places

I like Rosie's design in the show its simple, cute, and gets the point across but I really do like the gory and spike the re-design And I agree when you said that she doesn't look that demonic as the rest of the cast because they definitely could go more heavy on making the characters look more scary and demonic looking to fit hell

Yes this is the gothic horror character of my dreams! The ambiguity of Rosie being a hellborn or not is very annoying in the show cause hellborn are so variable in their designs I kind of wish the show had a more definitive lore or who is and isnt hellborn, but thats a me thjng 🤷. Cant wait for more Overhaul videos I absolutely LIVE for these ideas and you flesh things out so well with so many great ideas. I am on the edge of my seat
