For years, Detroit has been considered one of the most dangerous cities in the USA - and especially infamous is Seven Mile Road. This area is so tough that even the police only dare tread during the day. Ruled by the Seven Mile Bloods. One of the most notorious gangs in the city. Drug dealers, hustlers, killers, and thieves - prepared to do whatever it takes to defend their territory. For over ten years gang leader Money controls the drug trade with an iron fist. A bloody territorial war keeps the gang in turmoil. To keep their rivals in check, boss Money needs a steady flow of new weapons. Only with the requisite firepower can they continue to dominate their territory and the other gangs - because the touch-paper might light at any moment. The violent crime rate in Detroit is five times higher than in the rest of the country. In 2018, over thirteen thousand crimes were reported, many more occurred. Seven Mile in particular is the front line for the bloody territorial battles that brutally define this no-go zone. For the police, every assignment is a risk, which is why bounty hunters are often used to go after criminals. A special unit of bounty hunters prepares for their next assignment on the outskirts of downtown. Tommy Depung leads the unit. So far, he’s arrested over 2500 criminals. Together with his team, they´re following a hot tip about a wanted drug and weapons dealer, and it’s taking them straight into the no-go zone… kzbin.info/www/bejne/jIOao2yYd7eJn5I More No-Go Zones - World’s Toughest Places - South Africa: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iXKWqqehm6itqq8 Available Worldwide except Germany, Spain, and Norway #freedocumentary

Never thought I would see a documentary on this! Crazy but true. Born and raised in Detroit, off 7 Mile right down the street from Osborn High. Tough area is an understatement. The hood breeds 2 types of people: those who never want to leave and those who can’t be stopped from leaving. Left at 19 for a better life and never looked back. It’s my city and will always be my hometown but you can’t pay me to visit some of my childhood locations.

There's a learned helplessness to change your situation. You accept that this is your life until you have the courage enough to come out in the real world. April of 2016, I delivered to the orange big box builder's supply on 7 Mile road. The original plan was to sleep somewhere enroute, but heavy fog slowed me down so much, that I had to drive straight through to make my delivery appointment. Parked in the lot in front of the place, and a police chase went right past at 3 AM, and somebody was shooting. Did a search online, and discovered that there had been a murder IN THE PARKING LOT where I was parked a month earlier. When I left, my entrance ramp to I-94 was closed, and I had to reroute. I drove through the neighborhood with burned out and tagged houses for blocks and blocks. White knuckle trip.

Between the age of 16 to 18 (59 yo now) I use to work one of the local food markets, cart collection, bag boy, stock boy, helped older folks carry out their groceries etc etc to finance my education market location roughly in this area of this doc (7 mile and Conant), not once there was a problem (a serious one anyway), wanna know the secret ? I’ll tell u, treat ppl with respect be it drug dealers , prostitution, drug users, alcoholics, etc in fact if someone looked shady entering the store, the guys with some street respect waited around till the shady guy left . There was a lady head cashier worked same location for 20+ years and acted as asst manager her name was Phyllis, (RIP) everybody respected and treated her like a mother and again without issues as if there was a code of honor being followed . Remember, treat ppl with respect regardless of their lifestyle.

My immigrant parents moved to Detroit in the 70s. Very little English but got plant jobs at GM. The city gave two immigrants a chance, a job and a future. The black community embraced their new neighbor. To this day my dad always talks about his black foreman taking him to their church and parties
@princehall90372 жыл бұрын
Black people have been helping immigrants in this country for over a century. When immigrants would come to America they would be placed in public housing. Once the white folks moved out of public housing it filled with blacks from the south then European and other immigrants came. Blacks showed a lot of them the ropes.

I'm not even gonna lie, I went out there with my buddy to drop off his daughter on the way to Indiana. We were in a brand new 2013 rental caddy and not even 2 minutes after we exited the free way at 2a.m. we were being followed by a 80s box Caprice with 5 guys in it. My boy called his brother and told him and when we pulled in the driveway, his brother was standing in the driveway with a shotgun. It's was a very sickening feeling knowing I could've died in a different situation. I'm from Vegas and Detroit was nothing like I've ever seen. Even the fast food places have bullet proof glass like a bank. You couldn't rob a place or there if you wanted to.

Censor the faces of the criminals, but then film the guys that actually try to capture them? Brilliant. Edit: For those that didn't get it, my point is that the bounty hunters should also have their identity protected.
@jesusjose13773 жыл бұрын
No reason to protect the one's who protect others
@ufotheories11733 жыл бұрын
Its because most of the people who participate in these documentaries are actually informants. If they show the face of the informant, someone recognizes them and gets killed, then HOW will they get the information? Do research on informants and how they are protected. Different laws in different states allow certain kinds of protections and that also means being protected during documentaries in which they are basically selling information to remain in the loop.

I particularly respect Michael for leaving the gang life and getting a job to provide for his family. Earlier in the video a gang member stated that drugged out juveniles were killing indiscriminately, yet he is the one supplying the drugs to them!
