Of course, not all people seems similar just because they from the same country, but we have to admit that girl is a good representation of french cliche, the annoying posture, the fact that the voice decreases at the end of the sentence, often making cringe faces to accentuate the feeling, etc...

I don't want to be rude or anything but I personally don't know any german who'd pronounce PommES FritES like you did. The common short version is PommES that's true, but the normal name would still be Pomm Frit similiar to the french pronounciation. But still a great video, though. the subtitles were a little off for the spanish girl in some words. she said "patatas fritas". Not "papas fritas". "papas" is how you say potato in most latin american countries. But in spain we say "patatas". Also when she said "zumo" for some reason the subtitles were "thermo". Yes, you can call some drinks a "termo" but it wouldn't apply in this context.

@@RyanBarroso Latin Americans do understand what she's saying, only that the words change in each country. For example in Latam they say "computadora" (US influence) where as in Spain it's "ordenador" (French influence) , "Celular" (Us influence) vs "Móvil" (uk influence maybe? dunno), "laptop" (US influence) vs "portátil" in Spain, etc. And this changes in each country, sometimes even by region 🤯😳. I'm sure it's the same between french speaking countries.

Guys, juice in Spanish is "zumo", no "thermo" 😂. Thermo it's more like "termo" and it's a recipient where you put a hot liquid to keep it hot, so you can take it anywhere and still hot. Sorry for my writing 😅. I don't practice English lately.

We have the "French omelette" (which is just whisked egg and salt) because when Napoleon invaded Spain the French besieged our cities and fortresses so we barely had any food left, and since Spaniards couldn't go to the fields and harvest some vegetables, they ended up doing the Spanish omelettes without any potatoes. So, the "omelette of the times when the French were here" became the French omelette.

In Spain we say "tortilla francesa" (french omelete) because once Napoleon conquered spanish land and during the "war" the people without enough money to buy potatoes adapted the spanish omelete using just eggs. So its called like that because it was "invented" during the french conquest. I hope this info will be useful to somebody. I think it isn't good translated at all but it may be possible to understand.

Actually in German we say "Pommes Frites" like in French OR Pommes in German pronunciation rules but not combined like she said it. At least I never heard it. There is actually a German word for Computer as well which is "Rechner" (I think this is actually the original word which was then translated into English and became computer). It is also used but not as much as the English term.

In Spain the word "juice" might be "Zumo" but in Latin America its "Jugo". "Zumo" refers to the rind part (bitter acid) of the fruit. Better explained, that acidity bitter tasting spray which spurts out when you peel an orange or lemon. That is "Zumo".

The french omelette origin is from way back when napoleon took spain, and since we sorta run out of potatoes, the typical spanish omelette was only made with eggs, calling it "la tortilla de cuando los franceses" (the omelette when french arrived), and it just stayed as french omelette! In Latin America juice is jugo, and computer is computadora instead of ordenador, and in Argentina it is totally fine to call coke "coca," like in French.

1:49 its called like That because the recipe was made during the napoleonic invasion of Spain, so we didn't have potatoes to make our Tortilla and we started doing it without them, it was called Tortilla de cuando los franceses (Tortilla made when the French were here) and it evolved in Tortilla francesa (French Tortilla)

In the UK we call French Fries just fries. Chips for us are the fat ones. Crisps are the packet ones like Walkers, Pringles, Doroitos etc

Here in Chile🇨🇱 we say: 1.- Hamburguesa 2.- Papas fritas 3.- Coca cola 4.- Computador (for laptop and computer we use the same word) 5.- Europa 6.- Aire acondicionado 7.- Bicicleta or Bici 8.- Labial 9.- Jugo 10.- Hulk (the same that in english) In some words we pronounce the 's' and the 'c' equal, not in all, like i said just in some ones🙌🏻🤍

in Serbia we took many words from other languages for food and sleeping we adopted many Turkish words, for technics we adopted many German words with our spelling Š is SCH our C is German Z šrafciger - Schraubenzieher, šoferšajbna - (Windschutz)scheibe, šraf - Schraube, cvikcange - Zange, mašina - Maschine; for fashion and beauty we took French words ruž is pronounced as rouge, etiketa, puder; dekor; and of course many English words in our phonetic way of spelling K is C, J is Y etc laptop, kompjuter, sprej (spray), vebsajt (website)
