Suggestions for a clearer explanation: spraypaint two of the pieces with different colours to make it easier to distinguish them. After each move, place the puzzle on the table so that we can see it static, without your fingers in the way, so that we are more easily able to keep up.
@snowflakesfell4407 Жыл бұрын
I was thinking the same, but different colors will ruin it, after a few hours you get used to all three pieces and they look completely different

If you are new to this mind-bending puzzle, here is some info: - On average it takes about a year of casual use to solve this 100% on your own without help. - I've heard of cases where it has taken someone as long as 3 years to solve it. - It personally took me 7 days just to take it apart, 5 more days to put it together with partial viewing of other videos. - It took me two days with the help of THIS video to truly understand this puzzle, and be able to take it apart and put it back together unassisted. So in total it took me two weeks to master this thing, with help from videos, and essentially never putting it down. I had it in my hand fiddling with it every single day, in meetings at work, at dinner with friends, in the washroom, on the couch, etc... One night I stayed up till 4am, determined to solve it, then giving up. Lol. I say all this to say, you are NOT cheating by watching this video all the way through. This thing is a masterpiece. You will NOT solve it in a day or two on your own without help.

I practiced my method for 1 month. As a result, I took it apart in 12 seconds and assembled it back in 13 seconds. I think it’s a good achievement for a 75-year-old.

This is BY FAR the hardest puzzle Hanayama has in its collection if I had to rank it for hardness Id give it a 7 out of 6 star rating as its nearly impossible to solve this one!! EVEN WITH the solution in front of you its still CRAZY DIFFICULT and EXTREMELY easy to get the puzzle in a stuck position where you have to do irreversible damage to the puzzle to get it apart then you gotta go buy a new puzzle... This one is a TRUE NIGHTMARE!

I must say: I got the cast marble puzzle and it took me a few hours to eventually see the solution, then I got the equa puzzle which took me about 10 days (give or take) to solve. I carried it everywhere I went and messed around with it, once I solved that my stupid azz decided to buy this puzzle. I got it 3 days ago and wish I didn’t. I don’t know how many times I spent hours moving these 3 pieces around thinking I was close to solving it then BOOM right back to the beginning. I thought the equa puzzle was the hardest one I tried but this one is on another level. May I say I’m not exactly a beginner when it comes to puzzles. I’m only 4 minutes into the vidoe and not going to finish watching it. This puzzle had me that frustrated that I nearly watched this just to get it over with but I’m not going to do it right now but I very well may be back to finish this video😂😂😂

I cannot pull out A.Y out of the hanayama. It's stuck because of the vortex. I tryed it for one week, but I still didn't pulled It out. Can I have some advice?? +Plus, sorry for my bad english. I'm from korea...;(
@RossDM4 жыл бұрын
Your english is good, don't worry. Sometimes when you're pulling the AY piece through the Hanayama piece, the Vortex piece can slip into the smaller hook. If it has, make sure the Vortex piece is out of the small hook first using the groove. Other than that, it's all down to getting the right angle for the AY piece to fit through... If I've understood where you are, I think this should help. Let me know how you get on!

I failed to see any structure or logic while solving this puzzle. It just felt like tying, and at the same time untying, a knot made of snakes. I ended up disassembling it by lots of random fiddeling. Got it back togeather after a hint of how to begin and then lots of more random fiddeling until it just clicked togeather. Took a day or two. Very much not a favourite puzzle.

After solving this, it was annoying to have to keep looking at the detailed notes I made. I've got stuck a few times on a few different puzzles... my only advice, which is very unscientific, is that it just needs a bit of force in the opposite direction to what got it there. The hard part is knowing which direction it needs to go. Sorry I can't be of more help John.
