Hi guys, welcome back to the channel and thank you for tunning in.
On the previous episode we started the renovation of our kitchen, which has taken months.
This level of the house is an interesting one, because it has the kitchen, dining, main bathroom and balcony, so there is always a lot going on here.
It is probably the area of the house that gets used the most, and a lot of things had to come together to be able to finish it. The furniture, the gas Conexion, marble benches, a new tap and sink, light fixtures, and deciding whether we wanted or could use the existing fireplace.
We hope we will get the gas connected soon, as well as get the wooden heater delivery.
Let's get this kitchen finished!

That small flexible pipe arranged to the right hand sink should be on the left hand sink. There is an overflow hole on the left side. There should have been some hardware and gasket to fasten it to this overflow port. Everything looks fantastic! . In 2096 we moved into our "unfinished" home and settled in the basement while finishing the house which is still missing kitchen cabinets and doors in the main residence. They have what is called construction electric which allows you two years to get the home finished. They were not enforcing the two year rule until about a year after the economic crisis hit. It’s quite interesting that Italy has some of the best tiles available followed by Spain.

Many congratulations! You have made this a truly beautiful home, I love the new lamp. I am very impressed that you two are very handy, knowing how to change the sink, with the disposer, the cabinets, the painting etc. I love the wood stove. You guys look like you're having a lot of fun. Keep it up!

You guys did a great job, I love watching your progress, it's looking so cozy , and congratulations for the gas, you can finally start cooking and baking. I love that you will use the other sink somewhere else in the house. Oh and I love the Terrazzo floors. I have to redo one of my bathroom since I moved in my 95 year old dad with me and I am thinking to use Terrazzo on the floor and the walls if I can get a good price here locally in Texas, otherwise, I am going to use marble look porcelain. The Terrazzo for floor plus the walls is like a new thing.

You’ve probably worked it out but the flexible hose is for the overflow hole in the 2nd bowl of the sink. We are currently doing a full renovation on our home in australia and thankfully we had a great plumber to fit our sink, dishwasher and hose connections for water in refrigerator, one of the only trades we hire out as it was less stressful. The rest we’ve done ourselves, nice job ❤

Hi Pete. We waited 6 months to get the natural gas connected into our house. The propane bottle you see at that point is what we used before we were connected to the main gas network

Hi, can I ask you if this property you own has a maintenance fee each month. Since you have been living in Italy, can you give me your opinion on where the location is similar to Molise but close distance to Rome. Thanks.
@rossinniandco
@rossinniandco Жыл бұрын
Hi love#007. Do you mean, like a body corporate fee? If that is what you mean, we don't pay that as it is a house and not an apartment within a building. Regarding your second question, how close to Rome would you want/have to be and would you prefer to be ose to beach or mountains?
@love-dx8lp
@love-dx8lp Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your reply. I would like to be close at least 45mins from FCO Airport when I fly in. Do you recommend any historic center that is also within distance to Rome.
@rossinniandco
@rossinniandco Жыл бұрын
@@love-dx8lp There is so much choice depending on the budget. From the centre of Rome to Fiumicino is already 40-45min without traffic, so if you wish to stick to that distance/timeframe I expect you would need to pay quite a bit. Tivoli is very pretty (about 55min from Fiumicino without traffic) and it still belongs to the Metropolitan area of Rome. Aprilia is about 55min away without traffic and it's close to the freeway. It is part of the province of Latina. You may be able to get more for your money, around Carsoli in the province of L'Aquila in Abruzzo, which is about 1hr 10min away. I would recommend you to check this video out and use the apps we mention, that way you can draw an area and see what is available and at what prices. 👉 kzbin.info/www/bejne/fabYhqmEi62Jmac Hope this helps 😀

Thank you for sharing. However, the faucet is much too tall on the sink, the door under the sink is terrible and I am sure you can get one from IKEA. The light fixture is just not right for that old kitchen. I honestly would have stripped it down and reposition everything in that room.
