As someone who's had the Rothy's, I did notice the shoe being smellier after awhile. I gave up on that brand and I now have four pairs of Vivaia's and they do not retain the smells of everyday wear as much while also just being better for wider feet. Great review, it's pretty much on par with my own experiences with both brands!

I agree, i wash them much more often than vivaia (havent washed them yet and its been a few years!) I just wash the insoles sometimes, but no issues with smell yet so just like you said - they seems to be much better for smell and breathability :)

Great video. Love that you have had time to really know how the shoes will be over time & multiple pairs. Only wish u would compare right from the begining so its like more clear

According to their website, Vivaia shoes also use some recycled and eco-friendly materials. Although as with Rothy's it's hard to truly verify these claims and how much of these materials are actually used.

Thank you for the in depth review, both shoes are fab! I know you touched on breathability of these shoes, did you find any particular pair to be worse in terms of causing smelly feet after wearing for a longer period?

the breathable pair is def much better!! my feet would get super sweaty in rothys so I HAD to wear them with socks otherwise I would get blisters, but with vivaia breathable model I can wear barefoot, no socks needed which is nice - i just wash the insoles from time to time but they don't smell :) got my second pair in another color already - i love it haha

Vavia’s heels have much more comfortable cushioned interior, i dont understand why they dont have the same for flats
