Having Jesse kill Gale) but in this scene, he is not scared at all and I like to think it’s because he’s dying on his own terms. HE is ready, and the whole premise of the show from season 1 is how Walt felt like he never made any of his own decisions, never lived life on his “own terms” which is why in this scene, when it’s all finally said and done, he dies peacefully, knowing it’s on his own terms.

Most ironic part about Breaking Bad is Walt didn't wanna be remembered as weak and dying a slow painful death but wanted to go out on his own terms, with a memorable legacy and in an explosive fashion which is exactly how Breaking Bad finished. So many shows just drag on and decline in quality until there finally put out of there misery and are remembered poorly whereas BB even over a decade after it ended is still revered fondly and is a seminal part of pop culture. The funniest thing is a great ending makes something live on forever.

Huell: released by the DEA due to being taken in under false pretenses and returned home to New Orleans. Kuby and Ira: unknown. Francesca: still hounded by the DEA in the hopes of finding Saul. Jesse: successfully escaped, thought by the cops to be in Mexico due to his car being found near the border. Saul: escaped as Gene Takavic thanks to Ed The Disappearer, but all of his assets have been seized, even his hidden ones. Ultimate fate currently unknown.

@@gabr1elawesome I'm talking about one of those Gene flashforwards, not the show's main timeline. That scene with Saul as Gene in black and white in the series premiere??? Not an isolated thing. Each season premiere shows us glimpse of Saul as Gene in the Post-Breaking Bad future. The current timeline for those flashfowards is about 2 months Post-Felina: November 2010. Season 6 breaks the trend and gives us a combination of the Pre-Breaking Bad Saul and Post-Breaking Bad Gene rather than just 5 minute teasers. But man this is SUCH an incredible show. A TON of legacy characters appear in it, including Walt and Jesse in the final 3 episodes. Gus Fring is a main character starting in Season 3 and the show delves even further into his war with the Cartel. Tuco's friend Nacho Varga is the Ignacio from the infamous "it wasn't me it was Ignacio!!!" line from Saul's very first episode of Breaking Bad. Ignacio is Nacho's real name. The "Lalo" that Saul thought sent Walt and Jesse is also a Better Call Saul character: Lalo Salamanca, basically the show's Big Bad starting in Season 4 and probably one of the best villains on TV.

Im not an emotionally expressive person most of the time, but when the line first dropped, "The special love, I had for you!" And zooms out to an overhead of Walter's lifeless body, I may have shed a single tear, during the first time i watched this

As much terrible as Walt did, seeing his lifeless body on the ground made me so sad. He knew death was coming knocking on his door but he did so much in that time. What a way to go out but also heartbreaking

Walter: died and cemented a drug empire surpassing Gus and the Cartel (Probably) Saul: Got arrested, confessed to everything he did to help Heisenberg establish his Empire. Serving 86 years in prison atoning for his sins Jesse: Committed a lot of crimes same as his teacher, endured every torture and chaos thrown at him, in the end he got away with everything and living peacefully somewhere in Alaska.

It's so beautifully twisted because deep down, Walt loved being the bad guy.

It's pretty sad that at the end he ended up being hated by everyone. Even us, the viewers, who at the beginning like his whole family and friends liked him. At least he accomplished what he set out to do at the end.

Skyler didnt hate him and had to hold herself from grabbing his arm at the end, and Jesse seems to resolve to only remember the good parts of his relationship with Walt (judging by el camino) But yeah aside from these two, yeah

By season five, we all knew Walter was going to have to die. And this was one of the most perfect ways for him to go out. Surrounded by all of his work and passion in life, and even though all of it had led to his demise, which he probably knew was going to happen by the first episode whether he liked it or not, he got to die peacefully with the entire world fading away, knowing his problems would never truly catch up to him until it was to late, just as the police (despite being seen in the background closely approaching him) never caught up to him in time in order to confront him. A perfect way for a tragic and broken man to meet his demise, which had been chasing him for two years straight.

@@Nikola7.62 I was straight faced while watching the ending, but only because I was getting conflicting emotions. I wasn't sure if I should feel happy or sad. On one side, I'm happy that Walt achieved what he wanted before dying - that is financially securing his family's future, taking revenge for Hank, saving jesse and being successful at his role as a teacher to Jesse who was almost like his 2nd son and was his student - Cancer was going to get him anyway so it's like a good ending. Not to mention, I despised him as soon as I realised what he had become The other side I'm sad because his family stopped loving him, they saw him as not a family member but a monster. The fact that he didn't have a proper goodbye to Walt Jr is heartbreaking. Also just the fact that this was his story of 5 seasons and seeing the main character die always hurts, contrasting the last half of Season 5 to the beginning of the 1st season its so different, in S1 everyone was happy, having parties, everyone was together whereas in the last few episodes of S5, the show's tone becomes cold, everyone is 'broken' and no one is happy, there is no love. It's so depressing.

"The special love, I had for you. My baby blue" while touching the cooking tanker. This goes to show that Walt really really loves chemistry and his formula.
@patrickaaronsnitchler9877 Жыл бұрын
The keys to this show’s brilliance were that Vince knew his story arc and he ended the show leaving us wanting more. So many shows could have contended with this one, but they went at least one season, often much more, too long and became a parody of themselves. Walking Dead is a prominent example in my mind.
