Followed this build from the beginning. Then saw it on Cletus’ vid. I was happy to see it skid.

That's the sickest twin set up I've ever seen. I freaking love it. Just discovered the channel this morning. Put off going to work for a so I could watch this build.

I was kicking around the idea of twin M90's on a 5.3....... And here I am. Badass work man

I should have used an LS, maybe in the future, and I was thinking if I go direct port injection, without the rotors being wet from draw through on the carb, I might lose a little boost, so maybe 3 M90's ?? 🤔

Either way, I'm on the hunt for some cheap blowers to try my theory with. I have a SBC multiport with the 4 barrel throttle body that i can use for parts , and was thinking about a way to make a 45 degree mounting deal just to make it look cool. I also thought about removing the snouts and using a chain to drive them with a gear drive @@rottersgarage

I’ve read that the m90 bearings aren’t sealed, any issues with the sc bearings getting washed out?
@rottersgarage11 ай бұрын
They aren't. I actually talked about that a few years ago when I built this thing. I packed them with grease and was planning sometime in the future to pull them apart and inspect. Never did pull it down. After some run time in the spring perhaps I'll check one and see what they look like. So far they still sound good, no death rattle or anything, still spin perfect. 👍

@@rottersgarage lol I just got done watching the video where you said this. Going through all your build. Really thinking about putting my m90 on my sbc. Especially after Richard holdner installed one on an LS. With a smaller pulley. Did fairly well, I was surprised with the results.

Let's see 10 lbs. of boost and less then perfect rings. Wonder why it has too much blow by.
@cloydt7702 жыл бұрын
Why does it only make 10lb of boost? I have a eaton m62 making 15lb.

Because he has his on A..v8 motor you've got yours on a 4 cylinder...

That blow by, not gonna last long.

12 degrees of timing is not nearly enough, the exhaust leaks you are hearing is because the headers are 3 piece and slip together through the fender wells, you could weld them but then they would never come out again so you hear the puffs through the slip fits, and yeah I knew the engine was hurt , I said it in this video, and then I went and blew all the pistons out of it at Cleetus & cars... Oops... 😆

@@rottersgarage On my non intercool LS at 10psi on 91 I run a safe 10° at WOT. Around 12゚I can start getting some slight knock on it when it's warmed up on a warm day. Coolant temp stays around 190 or less. Maybe that could have caused a lil bit of the blow by? Rattling the rings is a bad deal.

That exhaust and exhaust leak sounds hideous.
