I have the flow master 40 series on my Silverado 5.3 and it’s not loud in the cab and it gives the truck a nice deep rumble. It’s a catback/muffler/y-pipe/dual exit with chrome 4 inch tips

For the exhaust I suggest the flowmaster 40 series or 50 series. The 40 series a little louder than the 50 but it still isn’t even that loud but they both sound amazing especially on the 5.3 Vortec and it’ll possibly add a little more power just because it’ll let the exhaust flow a little bit better.

does it matter what lugs you use for spacer/wheel? i have 2 inch spacers on my f150 and i used the lug nuts from the wheels for the spacer and the lugs that came with the spacer to put the wheel on, did i mess that up? i havent felt anything wrong driving

Something cheap for the exhaust; resonator and muffler delete to a 4 or 5 inch tip. It’ll sound really good and if it’s too loud for you magnaflow or flowmaster. I’d recommend super 10 for a louder sound or super 40 for quieter. Absolutely LOVE those headlights

Spintech mufflers sound great on 5.3's. I had the 5000 series on my 05. (Video on my channel). Nothing else done to the tahoe. They also offer them in stainless steel. Very very minimal drone with windows up, and can't even hear it with music on. The 5000 series is loudest at higher rpms, like when you floor it. Cruising, and at idle, it has a nice deep rumble. It's not stupid loud with a bunch of drone like flowmasters.

5.3 sound good if you cut the factory Y pipe off and run true dual straights with the cats. So duals cats and no muffler. Deep sound. Doesn’t clap like the squat trucks like to do and is pretty loud but tame

I have a 5.3 single cab and all I did was cut the pipe off from a foot before the cat and had a true dual pipe go out. It gives a loud sound when you step on it but if you want it to be quiet it can

I put a 3” diameter cherry bomb glass pack 29” long on my Yukon with a black rbp 5” tip and it sounds great! Not to loud, no drone in the cab but if you really get on her she will come alive!

Great build as always but just wondering why not hub centric wheel spacers.. The weight of the truck is going to be on the studs it's self and that's what the hub centric is for the ring in the middle is for to distribute the weight better...

I've got a 2011 Silverado with the 5.3 and I got dual straight pipes after the 3rd catalytic converter, so not a true dual system. Don't know if the tahoe has a 3rd but I love the sound I got, not too loud but still a good rumble.

I agree with the loctite and torquing the wheel spacers that's the way I've done for the last 15 years and never had a problem. Headlights turned out sick. Great vids 👍

keep factory exhaust pipe, go with a “flow master high flow cat” and a pretty black tip that’s what i ran on my shorty and it didn’t sound ratty and it was easy work, it had a good mellow beefed up sound

Flowmaster 40 series sounds great! I have it on my 2013 chevy silverado 1500 5.3l with a cold air intake! Loud enough on the gas and quit to creep through the neighborhood!

Magnaflow Magnaflow Magnaflow. Personal favorite of mine. Systems are flawless and customer service is just amazing. Warranty on the mufflers can’t be beat. Flowmaster to me just sound like an empty cambles soup cans. They are great for your 1st exhaust mod when your 16. Lol.

Just literally put a exhaust on my 2007 Yukon. Didnt want really loud either went with a Flowmaster super 40 and deleted the resonator at the back and that's it. Sounds absolutely amazing. Zero drone at highway speeds btw.

Corsa exhaust. Sounds amazing when wide open throttle and under acceleration. No drone at hwy speeds. Look at their db series for decent pricing. Another option is banks monster exhaust muffler. I ran it on my 2002 Tahoe. Sounds super deep but does have drone.

Exhaust best for 5.3 I have a 2005 Silverado and I put a black widow race venom and it’s nothing crazy it just lets you actually hear it but if you want a little more power and noise definitely go with some long tubes

I ran 2 inch rough country wheel spacers on my 2011 f250 and it snapped studs off the spacer and made for the worst ride ever. Yes they were hub centric wheel spacers from rough country. They snapped the lip off and the studs off out of 8 studs I had 4 left on the passenger side and 6 left on the driver side on each tire so tread lightly Ryan

For a muffler. Looking into dynomax super turbo or the x flow. I owned both and loved both of them. I have the super turbo on my f150. No drone at all, sounds aggressive!! My 03 ss Silverado had the x flow no drone and sounded aggressive. Love the content!!!
