Hello kit, excellent diagnosis, in Diesel models the waveform will be the same as the bad injector or the good injector, there is no difference, they are not like gasoline injectors, what you can do is the quantity test, or you can send it to a test bench, or what you did that I think is the best test, exchanging the injectors, Excellent diagnosis. Good job, my advice to you is to take out the other 7 injectors and test them in test machine in any injector repair shop , if they need clean and refresh do it then make Calibration for all 8 injectors, change all the watchers before installation, finally change fuel filter before start the engine. And this vehicle will not come back again. Best wishes

Good teaching, I would suggest when you're trying to measure peaks, change the time base to widen the waveform and it will make seeing the peak easier. Thr signals are close but i would expect the peoblem with the injector is mechanical not electrical.

@d1bergman Great suggestion! I agree with you! I believe the issue was on the mechanical side of the injector not the electrical side! Great point!

We are Indian , we don't replace injectors easily. We put on test machine and reconditioned it. If found none repairable condition then we decide to replacement. Because of costly item like injectors. 😮😮😮😮😮

is it possible the injector 4 got damaged because of compression leak via the injector crush washer ?

Great diagnosis case study & repair 👍. Audi / Volkswagen oem electronic components are pricey Aftermarket are hit & miss when it comes to electronic parts oem is the only way or end up doing twice

Awsome demonstration that human auditive and touch and visual sense are EXTREMELY IMPORTANT for a mechanic . Like in this exemple , scan tool does not show this injector problem
