There should be an O ring on the injector, it'll leak past the relief holes onder the exhaust manifold gasket.

the resistance test does work, I believe something is wrong with your connection. I read about 175-185 kilohm on a good injector.

Ok, the scope did not help with detecting a bad injector and the resistance test did not help diagnose the bad injector. Basically, the misfire on the cylinder revealed the potential injector problem. But, it took swaptronics to confirm the diagnosis. Do you think the defective copper washer on the injector causing the leak accelerated the injector malfunction? One other concern, you said the copper ring was probably burned, you could not retrieve it with the screw driver. Would a partially burnt Cooper ring be a cause for concern if left in the injector port?

The injector seat has to be cleaned before you put in a new injector and copper seal. Did you clean the 2 injector seats in the head of the engine?
