What a tense battle! Anna was pushed to the brink of defeat in losing ending with 2 Rooks + 4 Pawns vs. Queen + Knight + 4 Pawns. But in time scramble with only 30-second increments per move, Anna plays like Magnus to construct fortress to draw! Fantastic save (refuting Magnus’ assertion there is no such thing as fortress in chess)!

Sweden lost 1.5 to 2.5. Sweden has much stronger rated players so they tanked.

@@skyoutofraindrops when you have those kinds of challenges in the country, everything else including chess goes to the back of the queue in terms of priorities. So just goes on to show how poor Sweden (which is a highly developed country) have been playing.
