I gave it a "Thumbs Up" because it shows the feelings from both sides of the breakup. What I would love to hear is a version with John and Tina Turner. Tina covered this song. Tina would add the energy and emotion like the lead female singer who was dueting with John singing "Everytime I think of you" when he was with "The Babys". Unfortunately, Tina is no longer with us. Maybe, someone in the industry to do something akin to what was done with Natalie and Nat King Cole dueting in the recording of "Unforgettable".

At 12, I loved this song so much, but I asked Mum why he wasn't missing her, when it seemed like he did. I was so confused, and she explained that he's just telling himself he's not missing her, but he really is. It was the first time I discovered the unreliable narrator and poetic meaning.
