Router Table Insert for a Ridgid Table Saw

Saw table is "close" to being true. Close is only good enough if you are throwing hand grenades or pitching horseshoes. But, you have a great idea there. I will need to see about doing this to my Ridgid TS3650.

Great idea. I have a 3 1/4hp Triton I want to mount in there, but I am concerned about the weight. So far so good for you?

Yes, mine works great. Seems like it is heavy enough base with the Ridgid table saw that I haven't been concerned with it tipping over.

Whenever I think, wow, this table saw sucks, I try and remember to just be grateful that I even have a table saw... and a garage... and lots of other great tools. Sure wish I had a planer!!! lol

Awesome! I made my own small jig as well not as nice but just some 3/4 plywood I had scrap also major question how do you do with that fence that moves that much lol I’m a bit unsatisfied with mine but takes a bit longer to square but still gets the job done

Thanks for the complement. I just bought my Ridgid table saw less than a year ago. I am still just getting used to it. It's ok I guess, but it is not the greatest saw and the fence is not very good. I'm never sure if I am squared up properly. With the router, it really doesn't matter much, but with ripping lumber it really does matter. For now, it will do. If I was doing wood working for my full time job, I would absolutely upgrade my table saw.

Great video. Enjoyed you working through small problems that always seem to pop up. What is the name (brand) of the clamps you used to glue and clamp up router top? Where did you purchase them? I would suggest that you either edge band or apply super glue to the bear ends of the insert table to stabilize the wood.

Those clamps are from my grandfather and they must be over 70-80 years old now. I don't know that there is any brand name stamped on them.
