A few quick answers about the eveRide Loop! When will it be finished? It will be a work in progress for many years because I plan to add alternate routes for different abilities and motorcycle styles, connector routes to Backcountry Discovery Routes, additional logistical helps like recommended camping/lodging, and routes color coded depending on typical weather patterns (hot vs cold weather). It will hopefully be rideable as a moderately difficult (flow test 2 and 3) loop by next summer. Will it cost money to download the tracks? Nope. It will be absolutely FREE. All I ask is that you consider spending your money to lodge with me along the route vs. a hotel, and that you consider using my affiliate links when preparing for your journey. What are the best months to ride? This route is meant to be ridden in the summer months from May to October as it covers a lot of high altitudes. As mentioned above, I plan to add ideal alternate routes to get around weather factors like extreme heat and early season snow. This route is inspired by the legendary backcountry discovery routes, but there are a few things that I wanted to do with my own route that are a little different. When most people come to ride Utah, they head straight to Moab. And no doubt, Moab has some amazing riding, but I can’t help but feel that you’re missing out on so much more that this amazing state has to offer. Areas near Moab are blistering hot in the summer, and just sagging with side by side tourists in the prime spring and fall months. So I’ve routed my loop to avoid crowded areas, specifically looking for trails that are limited to vehicles 50 inches wide or less. So while you can’t avoid them completely, it should have a minimal amount of side by side traffic. I also wanted to make the route a loop, so instead of starting at one border and ending at another, the eveRide loop can be started and ended anywhere along the loop (obviously) for easy trip logistics. It also allows for bailout options close to main highways should something go wrong or time gets short, and centralizes in a smaller area so if you really need it, I can be there to assist within a few hours. Basically, you should be able to “bail out” at any point on the loop and be back to wherever you started the loop within a day via backroad highways. This makes it convenient if you’ve only got a few days to ride. However, despite being close to main artery roads, the eveRide Loop utilizes as much dirt as possible. I estimate that it is 80 to 90% dirt so far. Destinations along this route include three of the mighty five national parks in Utah: Zion, Bryce, and the often overlooked Capitol Reef, with 100% legal “back country” entrances so you can actually ride off road in or very close to these incredible parks, and get all the scenery without the crowds, the tourists, the rangers, or the fees of the main routes. Canyonlands (with the White Rim Trail) and Moab (with Arches National Park) will be a short ride of the eastern part of the loop, so if the weather isn’t too hot, riders can enjoy these areas if they’d like to expand their trip. Likewise, these areas aren’t far from Colorado’s incredible passes, either. I also wanted to make it connect to other popular routes like the AZBDR, COBDR, and naturally the UTBDR. All three are close enough to access within an hour or two’s ride, and many parts of the eveRide loop actually serve as a connector between those three BDRs. Another thing I wanted to do was to route a lot of bypasses and alternative routes to make the route as accessible as possible, no matter what kind of motorcycle you have. The route will map paved roads, dirt roads, double track sections, and difficult sections for the really adventurous, and hopefully new sections will be added over the years. You could basically do the entire route on road in a few days, or do almost the entire loop off road and take a week and then some. I also wanted to plan alternate routes around camping and hotels, and color coordinate routes by weather since some of the areas can easily reach 110 degrees, and others top out at 10,000+ feet and about 65 Fahrenheit. That way, on a given day, whether it’s cold and rainy or hot and dry, you can grab your map and find the ideal route for you. I’m still working on a lot of logistics like gas, food, lodging stops, camping spots, and connectors to other routes. I’ve put a ton of time into scouting, mapping, logistics, and everything else that go into creating a route like this… so I’m hopeful that, like its big brother the UTBDR, it will become one of the top adventure motorcycle rides in the world.

2 time rally goer. If you're on the fence, pull the trigger! You won't be disappointed. Tyler and Jess are some of the best people out there. The riding is incredible. The price is outstanding. I've made friends from these rallies I meet up with still. Can't wait to come back again. Trying to get another trip in 2023.
@jensenmiller64102 жыл бұрын
If anything Tyler is incredibly humble undersells himself. I've been on one rally so far and I have plans in the works to get a group together and come back down for another rip in the future. The food is amazing (Jessie will blow you away on the nights you don't order out) and the motomansion has just about everything you could ask for in vacation accommodations including a fully stocked shop. He has a fantastically intricate knowledge of the area and where to go to best wow you with scenery and trails and will tail you like the paparazzi the whole way there. He even put up with my clown self having to put my bike back together when I got there (and busting a case cover in the process) so I could go out on the rally. If you're thinking about going to one I can't recommend an Everide rally enough. You'll make great friends with the strangers you ride with and by the middle of the week you'll all be making fun of each other like buddies that go way back.

This is awesome! Being from southwest Utah I have also put together my own southwestern Utah BDR and rode it last May with my son. It basically works it’s way from St. George area to I-70, about 90% backroads, including Zion, Bryce, Kodachrome, Capital Reef, Escalante areas, etc. Ours was also a loop. Some of the best riding ever. So to my surprise I saw this video and yelled with excitement at my screen that you were doing this and I know by watching your videos it will be amazing, although I am sure we chose some of the same routes. I can’t wait for the route to be published, I am already planning my fall trip and will plan on doing this route. Thanks for all you do for the adventure/duel-sport community. This will be a great addition to Utah’s existing BDR that I am sure will add some of the best riding in the state. Love your Channel!

Oh man, Man hugs, that's great! Seriously, thank you Tyler, you are such an inspiration for my wife and I! We are loving dual sport after about twenty years of raising a family and only marginally staying involved in dirt biking. Now my wife has grown into her FE350S and doing 80+ mile rides in Moab with me. I must be the most blessed man in the SW! Cannot wait to meet you and participate in some trail rides, but please take us up on flying sometime down here ins southeastern AZ! We also keep a Supercub here in the same barn with our bikes. By the way, gotta say, the drone shots are incredible. The wife is an industrial photographer, uses a drone on occasion, I love the shadow in some of the scenes here as it reminds me of Star wars ands a cruiser following along!

What backpack, or selfie stick mount are you using to get your FPV follow shot via Insta360 or GoPro? There were a few shots in the montage that were FPV style, some would call 3rd person view, that weren’t from a drone.
