I made up a regripless and fast alg for the dots case. It is basically a CFOP H perm alg with the Ms and Us interchanged: U2 M' U2 M2 U2 M' U2
@connorsweeney73695 жыл бұрын
Ben Du Bois that’s what I was on a say
@S2B5 жыл бұрын
Your alg is for the other regrip case, which is quickly solved with E2 M' E2 M'. It's quicker to solve than the dots case, E2 M' E2 M. M moves can be reversed in either case for personal preference. However, they are not regripless like yours but may be executed quicker. The fastest speedsolvers use them, so that says it all.

Just a quick note about timestamps: Put the time BEFORE the description, then it will appear as a clickable link for DESKTOP users only. However, to ensure that mobile users also get clickable links, simply copy the same text into your comments section, i.e. 0:10 Introduction 1:36 Edge Orientation EO Cases 12:36 UR/UL Solved LR Cases 17:36 4C cases 24:48 AUF Prediction
@criticalcubing5 жыл бұрын
Ah I see. That helps. I'll start commenting the timestamps from now on, and pinning that comment so it stays at the top. Thanks for letting me know :)

@@criticalcubing The series you're doing right now on CMLL is ideal, since I use Roux's 2 look CMLL just now. In fact, recently I've occasionally been doing DF/DB after 2nd block to finish off F2L and then 2LLL. I choose whichever has the quickest and easiest algs!

1000x Thanks... I tried a few times some wired Roux Cfop Hyprids... I never understood the LSE thing... Perfect explained! Now I got the hang of it. I have been stucked on CFOP at an average of 27-30 secs for about a Year. I have been sick of it. The block building suits me more than F2L. :) Greetings from south Germany and Happy new Year!

8:28 If anyone choose to use the alg for that six flip you should AUF so that the LR edges are on the UF and UR position before the alg, if one of the edges are on the bottom, AUF so that the LR edge on the U layer is on UR or UL and do a M2 to get them both on the U layer and then AUF to get them on UF UR and then do the alg... R U' r' U' M' U r U r' This will place the LR edges on the bottom, the UF edge will end up on DF and the color of the UF corners will be the color they were before the alg so you can easily predict AUF after the alg is done and finish with M2. Hope this helped someone cut some moves off their solves.

I started cubing two months ago at the age of 50 and I, too, was lost at L6E. For me, the breakthrough was using the same algorithms from a SOLVED cube...going slow...and watching what was happening.
@ArnavSinghVEVO7 жыл бұрын
Robert D In Tulsa Were you a CFOP solver? Its really hard to make the transition between cfop and roux. Personally i dont enjoy it. But im stuck with it. How did you become comfortable with building blocks?
@ArnavSinghVEVO7 жыл бұрын
I dont enjoy cfop.
@RobertDinTulsa7 жыл бұрын
Acurry17 I wasn't a CFOP solver / user. I took some advice to use Roux after watching Matt Parker of STANDUPMATHS when he went to the U.K. nationals...meet a guy who showed him how Roux was more efficient...not that I would / do know. I eventually found DEEDUBB's Roux tutorial...spent almost two months on that with a store bought cube that had been lying around for decades...received my first speedcube (Valk 3) 1.5 weeks ago. Woohoo! Love it. The first two blocks wire the easiest for me. L6E sucked! That's why I started working backwards from a solved cube with the same algorithms in order to REALLY understand what's going on with all of the pieces.

Hey Critical Cubing, I have a question for you. After 4a, instead of finishing L/R sides, can't I just insert the white edges to the bottom layer and finish the cube off with an H, Z, or any of the U perms depending on the case? Would that work or would the move count be higher than the LSE method you showed in this video? Thanks in advance. :)
@criticalcubing7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, move count will be higher with that approach, and more inefficient that way
