Keep us posted man! I'm very interested in buying this engine. Probably order there vortex pipe to go with it. At least that would fix the header directly bolting on issues.

Ive got a couple of these and they are rockets when you break them in correctly and do a couple of key things!? Port it, replace the metering lever spring, upgrade the pipe! And stick a high quality plug in it. I've gone further with lightened flywheel, custom ALX 70mm clutch ect.. Theres no replacement for displacement!

That's simply too much work required for the average basher to make getting one worth while, especially when you look at the price of G320 based OBR's.

The basic engine is not half bad, but needs work to get the most out of it. The carb is capable of delivering more than enough fuel, but if you cant get rid of those exhaust gases quick enough it will bog the engine down big time! I opened mine up and scuffed up my intake for better atomization made a hell of a difference.

I sold this junk engine ages ago...... The whole point of this was 'big bore' on a budget but having to buy an exhaust that's more expensive then the engine itself is silly and should not have to be done to get decent performance out of it..... Still.....I'm 12s brushless powered now so no performance issues to worry about :D

Frankie Pomponi No as I sold it.....I did another video after this as to why I sold it and how Rovan were hassling me to delete these videos but I can't find it. Long story short.....ported G320 is better.

well I've seen dan's video from rovan rc, and he's going out with a line up of these engines, matched with the proper exhaust and carb, come mid August... he has a new video out right now with a rough set up of the 45 on a 5B platform, but will be available for the X2 as well... i believe they were worried about PR and brand reputation, because they have a name attached to this product that was unfairly dumped into the international market from china with no manuals or any tips or info about it, and most importantly no mechanical support from outside sources... Dan from rovan has been working to resolve this issue and come out with a line up of these engines, and after seeing it on the 5B platform, I'm excited what could be in store for my X2 roller, w8ing for an engine...

too bad bout the sealed transfer port, or lack there of transfer port/ scavenger plates... otherwise this would make one kick ass engine

It's still not great to be honest, there's a guy I've been talking too on Facebook who's ported it and used a bigger carb and a correct size exhaust header and it still wasn't mind blowing (He fitted Area RC bolt on REED conversion too) but if Rovan can make something of it then all the more power to them.

something about how they can't match the hp of a full mod 46, but the torque is more then that of a 34cc OBR...it may have something like 6 hp, give or take .5 but thats nothing compared to the claimed 12 out of the orb 46... that could be just due to the lack of removable scavenger plates on the head...

Think your wright buddy. Might as well be 100 cc. If it’s crap it’s crap. Obr uk. 30.5. High tork 7.5 hp. On uk site. £350 plus p&p. 15£. Great value for money. Or full mod reed. 9.7 hp.
