I gave this as a gift and after noticing my daughter never used it, I asked why and she said she thought it was missing something. She asked if I wanted it so I said yes. Ten minutes of set up and it’s up and running. I think she missed the first step where you install the SD card. The video helps a lot but the instructions that came with it are clear too. I found the icons like “menu” and “up” and “down” buttons hard to read, however. Nice clear picture. I’m leaving the manual in my glove box.

Terrific. Answered all my questions about settings. I just returned a competitor's undocumented dash cam because it turned out the time lapse option required the hardwire kit (duh). No KZbinr had done a proper video like this on that product or I would have been aware of the "gotchas".

I just bought one of these cameras. They're pretty cool and loaded with features. This video does a good job of walking you thru the menus and setup. I would recommend this camera. But by the Polarizing lens as well. It helps.

Heya! Got a concern, I recently checked my cars fuse box and it seems as if every single fuse is constant. The car is completely off and I check the fuse connectors and the tool I’m using lights up with every single fuse. That can’t be right or is it possible for a car to have ALL constant fuses? Or am I doing something wrong somehow? Not a single fuse seems to be switched. I’m driving a 2021 trailblazer.

Hi New Atlantis Republic! Normally there are several places where ACC can be found (remember if all the circuits on the car are on all the time, the battery would drain quite fast), now some cars do have multiple fuse boxes. Here is my video on how I find ACC and BATT on any car kzbin.info/www/bejne/gWPMfIugbZdma5Y the car on that video for example has two fuse boxes inside the car and a third one outside the car in the engine compartment (some cars also have a fuse box in the trunk like the Dodge Charger) so that may also be where ACC and BATT can be obtained from. Also, I notice when I leave the cam connected to phone wifi, I am unable to send emails, order starbucks etc. Seems to only let the phone call and text. Have you heard of this problem? Thanks again.

Ah yes here is the review for the Pro kzbin.info/www/bejne/hZmkiYqpfK6omdU and yes most phones currently only support being connected only one Wifi at a time, however if you phone is on you cell phone provider's network, you may be able to access the internet and the rest of it's functions (some phones support Wifi and LTE connection at the same time). Wait a minute..... The options you showed werent actual 4k. Why does the camera have 4k in the name if its only 2k? It this also the case with the Pro version?

I have an aftermarket car alarm (medium sensitivity). I also installed a mirror cam with 24 hour parking mode (Timelapse). Is there a way to incorporate a dash cam to record when the alarm gets triggered? Or a vehicle alarm that can be upgraded with dash cam options.

Thank you Joy! Ah sounds like your dash cam is not recording, I would have the installer confirm the installation. Also I would check the memory card, remember some dash cam are very sensitive to low performing cards (and sometimes even the brand) I placed the link to the memory card I use in the video description if you need it. How do you update the firmware. Mines doesn't register the mph.

Hi! I usually don't recommend updating the firmware unless directed by tech support to do so or if you are willing to accept the the risks involved with updating it. If something goes wrong during the upgrade, you can potentially turn your dash cam into a brick (it has even happened to me LOL). Firmware updates for dash cams are not like the App updates we get on our phones (where we are constantly updating it). The update instructions are on the Rove website (link to the Rove dash cam in the video description) but again I would be extremely careful if attempting this. Cheers!

Hi Frank! Wifi enabled dash cams do not let you see a live view or access the videos while your away from the car. @@AlexAutoFun I tried various versions of the app and older ones give me good speeds, up to 5mbs, but not stable. I'm pretty sure it's not the memory card and its the app.

Hi Steven! Ah I thought you were coping files to your PC. If you are using the App the video files are downloaded via Wifi. I prefer using a memory card reader to transfer files since it's usually faster but if you prefer to use the App and you are still having having trouble downloading them, I would recommend contacting the Rove tech support team, they may be able to walk you thru some troubleshooting steps.
