Just discovered this after years of loving the original. Total respect to Roland R and all concerned. Brilliantly done with cheeky tweaks that just work. Things like making the table smaller so he could make the jump and the reflection being real dancers. Brilliant!

And I like that they went with a bit of their own thing with the bell hops and the reflections being actual people and them coming to life. This is exactly what I asked for when looking for someone recreating that music video.

I have no idea who Rowland Rivron is, and this song is an odd choice for a BBC dancing show, but kudos. He's done an exceptional job at replicating the moves in the original video. I'm sure Walken would be impressed.

I love Christopher Walken but I bet he had a lot more preparation time and his performance was recorded we don't know how many takes it took. Roland Rivron was doing his performance live. No editing or time for re-takes

Chris Walken said it took him 5 days for rehearsals. Not sure how many days of actual filming though. Also, I think he came up with the choreography because he said he learned one of the moves when he was 6.

@pennydesouza He is a comedian of some note, he started out as the drunk drummer of a comdey duo called Raw Sex at the time of Saturday Night Live, Ben Elton, Harry Enfield etc. That was the reason for Jool Hollands comment about being a drummer, cos to play a drunk bad drummer you actually have to be a very good sober one.
