As a 65 year old musician, I have to thank KZbin for providing real musicians a chance to be heard over the din produced by coke inundated producers, studios and the "music business" as it has come to be known; to start bringing back artistry and real musical gifts that people LIKE ALL OF THESE share with the public. Who wouldn't love Morgan James for all that she brings to bear? Don't forget about the musicians that are wrapping her up in a pretty sonic package. That is a most underrated skill. These guys have it, in my opinion. Beautiful.

Agreed. I saw Morgan in concert 2 weeks ago. She's the most amazingly talented singer I've ever seen, and I'm a boomer. Her Guitarist/Co-Songwriter Doug Wamble has great skills as well. The drummer and bassist were top notch as well. An evening I'll never forget. Her 2020 album of Soul originals and 2023 album of R&B originals are outstanding, and highly recommended.

Sting said this was about an imagined woman he thought about while he was staying at a red light district with his band. The way Morgan sings this song - Roxanne comes to life, the pain the sadness and desperation is so evident. This is how this song should be sung. Brilliant!

I would just like to say, as someone who literally grew up with this era of song (I was about 16 when Roxanne was released by the Police), this is adult subject matter. Obviously, the version by The Police is amazing, groundbreaking and you simply cannot replicate Sting's voice, Stewart Copeland's drumming and Andy Summer's guitar. That all being said....it is truly breathtaking to see a woman take on the vulnerability and despair of someone truly caught in the middle of this tragic situation. I really enjoyed this and my ultimate respects not only to Morgan James, but also for the piano voicing which truly complements the moment.

Got to see her live in Orlando yesterday. AMAZING. Even got a pic with her. She is even more gorgeous in person. If any of you have a chance to see PMJ or Morgan in concert...DO IT!! Its amazing! and they all stayed around and took pics and did autographs (for free) till EVERY single fan had left. I have never seen any artist or band do that before.

Please have your management contact the Montreal Jazz Fest organizers and blow that event right into music heaven.
