He's not supposed to have a Roxas card until AFTER beating Marluxia. It's a Clear Bonus card. He needs to beat this game and have KH2 save data (or in the case of the HD Remix, watch the 358/2 Days cutscenes). Only then would Roxas be found in Twilight Town's Room of Rewards.

The fact that roxas card does this much damage even with inefficient combo setups is still insanity to me and I used to abuse this on PS2 for forever when grinding since I didn't know about the mega flare level strat for D. Islands.

(Full disclosure tho the first time I played I didn't know how to use the boss and special cards and it really hindered me when I got to rikus last fight. Ehh I found it hard growing up, and I never liked fighting with cards. I played rikus story over and over because his story was at least tolerable. Once I found the cheese it was a cakewalk, but still it's insane to put action with cards, it doesn't work. The story was nice to branch the games, but that's all it's good for.

I've been recommended several streamers in the past who post stuff like 'MY FIRST TIME PLAYING KINGDOM HEARTS', which makes me excited to see how people will react to certain scenes. And wouldn't you know it, they always play KH, KH2, and BBS, but just decide to watch the damn Re:COM cutscene movie and react to it. One LPer (Dee Bee Geek) even being all 'the gameplay seems weird, so we're just going to watch it instead'. Holy shit, that just seems like a flimsy and weak-ass way of pussying out on it. I love the gameplay of Chain of Memories and can't believe that this stigma of 'the gameplay is bad/is too hard to understand' still exists.

Yeah, it shreds through bosses and enemies, but it's also fun (though dull after a long while). There are also other overpowered sleights for Sora like Omnislash, Sonic Blade, the Fire and Blizzard Raids, Judgement, and Mega Flare, so it's all up on the player to not experiment out of laziness/habit. I feel like most people see the 0-9 card number system and just think it's 'too hard' when KH1 was all about button-mashing X without a care. Having gotten a friend into KH since last year, he loves the strategy of COM and tweaking around the decks (in his view, the game with the 'worst' gameplay to him was BBS, but even he enjoyed playing it).

@@jpaotv9355 Depends on the quality of card packs they have on offer. I'm not sure if this is the case in the remake but in the GBA version the most expensive packs don't give cards lower than a 6. Meanwhile, the cheap packs are capped at 7. I'm guessing that you just cheeped out and never got any good cards as a result.

To be fair, the Roxas card kinda busted. Doubles attack power, and then he followed up with a bracer for his arcanums so they couldn't be broken. Enemy cards can be rather whack.

As someone who recently replayed the GBA version, he does not beat your ass. Well, he beat my ass a few times but that was because I just wanted to Zantesuken his deck and he tended to interrupt my heals with a 0. Just keep a few 0's on hand for his sleights, don't get too close to him unless you're attacking and he is pretty damn easy. Once he runs out of sleights, he isn't too much of a threat unless you end up in a loop where he hits you if you don't break his card.
