I did end up making one of these pots and was thrilled with it, I love being self sufficient rather than just running out to buy one, I have not seen anyone in Australia here make this pot, I may be the only one to make a willow Lobster pot this way. Winter time here perfect time for making these. I can go out and get willow canes now and make some more. 👍

Fascinating video. Quite different bottom construction than that we use in Cornwall (south coast) but I will have a go at this construction method next season (as no willows left!!). Thanks

Absolutely best video I have seen on making this type of pot. I will now give this a go I already made my pot jig, a big thank you to the gentleman making this and showing the steps to make it. I have searched high and low to find something on making these. I really appreciate this so much a big thank you. Happy pot making.
