I like to go back to remember. He was one of a kind. His blitz jab and blitz 1-2 jab left or jab hook 2 da body was perfect. Reminds me technical karate point fighters. Age really killed his game, though, badly as I thought tyson beat him in their sparring match.

@mikhailshchekotov7765
@mikhailshchekotov7765 9 ай бұрын
@Warokanji
@Warokanji 9 ай бұрын

Roy was 39 and Felix 35 I think. Roy was at the end of his career but you could see his skill as he counter punched off the ropes. He could still step over and punch, jump in with hooks, and land lead rights. Roy”s defense was hard to penetrate and he had to be in great shape to take those body shots and not fade in the later rounds. The guy he beat, Felix Trinidad, was one of the all time greats. Great fight.

Have to agree with the two above. Roy Jones moved up weight classes in his prime. He was what 39... He moved down to fight this which does strain you but you still keep a lot of strength. Muscle memory isn't a joke Jones fought at what light heavy or even heavy weight at a time. They both clearly aren't in their prime I have seen most of both their fights.
