I agree the best midfielder in the Prem late 90s/early 00s. It’s pretty embarrassing and shameful that the Scholes’ career revisionists now seem to have him as the better player when, at the time, Keane was the first name on the sheet whilst Scholes was sometimes dropped for Butt or Park!

There are only a few people on this squad that would SURVIVE a season with Keano: Marcus Rashford is humble and seems hard working; as does Scotty Mac; Fernandes is smart, fiery, and hard working (kinda in the Keano mold) Van de Beek is box to box; and AWB is a solid defender (if they stop trying to make him a flying fullback). I think after he slapped him around a bit Mason Greenwood would be his new Becks. I know he doesn't like de Gea, but I think he likes Romero, and am sure he likes Henderson. Throw in the part time kids Fosu Mensah and James who he can mold and I doubt the great one wants anything to do with the rest.

All of yous Utd fans wishing you had Keano around now don't have a clue how much us Sunderland fans want him back here now. We've got a mega rich owner now we need Keano back to sort the place out from top to bottom.

rael1999 more than ole ever had before he got to the seat. You know full well 6-1 wouldn’t of happened with Keano in the dug out. Ole is far to soft
@rael19994 жыл бұрын
@@dmsportsdebate9302 ...Must admit Ole I think is too soft, but Keano isn't the answer. Back room staff or assistant possibly.

But Keane was legendary just as big as Ferguson better as a player pitty Ferguson slagged him as Keane was a fundamental part of Ferguson’s success as manager it proved it as he tolerated him at his peak until he had the knee injury

Keane was one of my favourite players of all united greats, as for Pogba smiling after giving penalty away with spurs, will all united fans that support Pogba get your blinkers off, he has been useless for united, he poncess around the field on massive money, can't even take a penny missed more that he scored, that free kick against Brighton was row Z, and I said it and stupid united supporters had a go at me, thats part of the problem, and de gea should be dropped, give Henderson his Chance, on penos we know pogba can't put them away and you got fans making excuses for his misses, de gea has not saved 1 since 2017 lol

This interviewer gets guests on but spends most of the time asking questions about Roy Keane. Why not just get Roy Keane on, get it all out of your system, then ask guests about themselves rather than ignoring their achievements and talking about a bloke that's not even part of the interview.

Everyone wants to hear about Roy Keane he’s an enigma . And he was on before you bellend did you not even listen to this interview where they reference him having been on with Gary last time

@@BadDubII that still doesn't explain why the interviewer is obsessed with Roy Keane

@@walshknwsbest what are you on about you clown. I'm aware keane was on their podcast previously. But that supports my argument even more. He's already had keane on a podcast and asked him dozens of questions yet still wastes times in subsequent interviews asking Neville further questions about Roy Keane, some of which neville already answered in the previous podcast. There's a podcast with sol Campbell and Ian Wright and for a good ten minutes sol sits there in silence whilst the interviewer asks Wright several questions about keane. He's obsessed with the man. I think he might be in love with him.

WOOOPdoctorFROGhere it’s what the public want to hear about man , that’s what it comes down to your aware of that surely ?? The most viewed clips on any of the off the ball interviews are the segments that Keane is discussed so it makes perfect sense for him to bring Keane into interviews/ conversations especially with any previous player who has an insight into playing with / being around one of the greatest players and characters to ever play the game . Bear in mind this radio station is IRISH so the majority of listeners are IRISH who have even more interest in Keane than the general fan.

When discussing British and Irish players, there's a real tendency of focusing on the intangibles like work ethic and leadership, while failing to mention how good they are in terms of technique. We've seen this with Rooney's retirement. People going "he was selfless, he was a team player, he was a fighter". And Roy Keane gets this too. Yeah he didn't do stepovers and cruyff turns. But his first touch was first class. Give him the ball in any tight space and he'll hardly ever lose it. And he was one of the best at making incisive passes forward. Keano was a perfect product of the Brian Clough philosophy. Keep football simple, and keep it on the floor. If you see a teammate that's open, pass it to him. If you can get it forward, even better.
