Roy was so graceful to allow everyone else a solo before he started singing again. From what I know of Roy Orbison, he was very deferential and wanted to make sure everyone was included. :-)

I love Bruce Springsteens facial expressions. He’s so entertaining to watch. Bruce was really enjoying himself and you can tell that he enjoys singing with Roy Orbison. Roy and Bruce are two of the best. ❤️💜

Aw man, how much fun is in this clip ? just love it !! - plus James Burton and a (starstruck !) Bruce Springsteen ! The Big O played this the only time I saw him live in 1978 (Ipswich) - it was fun then too - RIP to a total legend !!

You're right. He stole'd the song from the black guy that recorded it. As was the practice in the day. Everyone did Ooby Dooby. And i hate to sat it. But usually better....

@@VenomStryker Also, Roy Orbison met the writers in college, Wade Lee Moore and Dick Penner wrote "Ooby Dooby", and Roy's group 'The Wink Westerners" included the song in their performances, including on a TV show on KMID in Midland.

Yes, I love my Klipsch Speakers n Yamaha Amps... From 1974 to today... Truly One Of The Best 🎵 Songs and Artists EVER. Roy Orbisons life is a testimony of how hard a life can be and yet he blessed the world 🌎 with some of our best songs ever. 🎵 Yes what a joy listening listening to all of his work, and some truly other amazing artists help bring it all together. Wow, truly some very powerful Rock N Roll history and I can play it over and over again, dance n party all night long, music is good for the sole it is. Thanks for sharing your gift and love for music Roy Orbison!

Apart from the obvious stars, Bruce, Elvis etc. the band particularly James Burton on guitar and Glen Hardin on keyboards plus most of the band were brilliant I think most of them were Elvis’s backing group, loved it👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🇬🇧

This is the first song I ever remember hearing when I was a kid. I always used to put on sunglasses and played an acoustic (I had no idea what I was doing) while singing babbles into a camera tripod thinking I was Roy. I have NO shame for that! What I would give to see Roy in Black and White Night!

His music is magnificent grew up as a kid with my parents listening to Roy, Penny Arcade, Pretty Women, Running Scared, Only the Lonely, I Drove all night my favourite is Penny Arcade the songs so full of life energy I wish I was born in that era.

I gotta brag on this.I got this song in a Star Trek movie,since I was a ghostwriter for Star Trek and outlined the movie "First Contact",so The song plays on a jukebox just when the Vulcans are meeting Zephram Cochrane,future inventor of the warp drive,the JUK BOX plays OOBY DOOBY and freaks out the Vulcans thinking it's Dangerous situation voices from nowhere/song.

This was his first song. It was actually written by his band mates when they were teenagers. Orbison spent a good deal of time and effort trying to get it published before it finally charted.

Thank you for this extraordinary concert, Roy is a legend, a born gifted Singer/Songwriter, a rare thing. I take many key tips from his songwriting, the simple chord changes stretched out, C, Dm, G7's, i love it! which I think many other musicians should do (only my opinion, as he is to me & always will be, legendary!)

I could watch this 24 \7 and never tire of it . Its all the great 🎸 s I grow up on and I am a Lang and Raitt fan!! This was first done in 54 I came in 61 so he was jamming way before my time and he. is right up there to me as a songwriter and musician as Seger SRV CCR Roy O went the test of time better in 87 then in the 50+60 when he was at his prime... This has always been my second favorite Roy Orbison song, second only to Dream Baby.

We seem to have comparable taste. I´d say Dream Baby is the best recording, and second Ooby Dooby, but the studio recording should have had a better backing. The solos on the original are good but almost the same on again.
