Watch "Mean Woman Blues" with Clapton and Carl Perkins, Eric looked and played enthusiastic with Carl Perkins and Carl was amazed with Eric's performance. I understand the flaws of 70's and 80's Eric Clapton but also realize he was probably drunk here and he didn't get totally clean and sober until November of 1987. Like Stevie Ray Vaughan after he got sober, he and Clapton were at their peak after they got clean and sober!! In short, Clapton is god!!!

George Harrison is having a blast! I have yet to see him express that much joy in any of his guitar solos with the Beatles. Its obvious he's playing here, what made him wanna be a Rock Star! Carl and George, jammin' just like this, on the other side.

Of course he was.....Lennon was brilliant but he was a guitar hack.....Point in case...when he screams out in the Get Back sessions...." I got blisters on my fingers"....know who gets blisters..? beginners and people that shoot thier mouth of more than they play guitar......any guitar player or bassist will tell ya.....they have callouses that are like rocks on your finger tips

Carl was unlucky, a car crash after he wrote and recorded Blue Suede Shoes side tracked his career for a while. He is a very important man in the development of Rock a Billy and Rock and Roll. I am glad he got considerable recognition later in his life.

For all you school kids out there, this is called Rock and Roll music. Not focus group vetted, no computers or auto tune. Just guys and gals having a good time jamming with their instruments of which they are masters, playing with one of the founders of the genre. It's called art.
