Good honest review. Its my first bike after not riding for over 30 years. Like you say its easy to ride and the perfect bike for a chilled out ride in the country. In the U.K where i live , Northumberland the area is quite hilly and this torquey engine handles the steep climbs with no problems. Also with this bike people stop to talk to you about the bike. Filling up at the gas station takes a little longer now!!! People actually like this kind of bike. Also the fuel consumption is great , easily 80 to 90 miles to the gallon. Thats U.K gallons. Thanks again. 👍

Exactly my experience also , not ridden for 30 years and the Classic is perfect to explore the local lanes in Cornwall UK .

First one of your videos I have seen and I like it. It`s good to hear that you put some miles and time on it, before you made your comments. I just watched a `review` from a guy here in the UK, who had taken one out for a demo ride, from his local dealer, for 15 minutes! (no comment). I have owned mine for 14 months and done about 2,500 miles on it. I love it more than my main bike and it just makes me smile, every time I hit that start button. Just subscribed 👍

Thanks. I’m glad you liked the review. I love the bike and I didn’t want to review as soon as I got it because let’s face it when you first get something you’re excited. I waited until I had time with it to give an honest review. I’m considering changing it to belt drive. There’s a guy who’s making a kit for the Interceptor right now. I contacted him and he said he’s about to put one out for the 350. If he does I’ll be doing a video on that.

Good on you mate. A great little bike with a lot of heart. I think there is something special about Royal Enfields, I have a Classic 500 UCE model, an old Bullet 500 iron barrel, and a Super Meteor 650 and I love them all 😀 Enjoy!

Love the stealth finish. Agree with RE not quite being on a par with honda but comparing it to a Harley is pretty funny. I think Harleys are a bit of a joke outside of the US. Each to their own though!
@mrrick29049 ай бұрын
Harley makes up close to 80% of the bikes on the road in USA. I’m giving my opinion being here in the USA and given the look of the bike people here would want to know how it compares. I do love the matte black on this bike. Very easy to keep clean. Thanks for watching.

@@mrrick2904I would not say that HD is 80% of bikes on the road. Maybe 40 % . There are more Japanese motorcycles on the road than HD's.
@mrrick29046 ай бұрын
@@frankmarkovcijr5459 in my area HD is very dominant. I haven’t been around the whole country but HD is very popular in USA. I would say the Japanese bike are the next popular.

Gorgeous bike. I’m really tempted to buy one. I just bought a Honda CB500X but still have my 2007 HD Dyna that I’m thinking of getting rid of for a smaller cruiser style. I like the color scheme of yours and the speedometer placement over the Hunter 350, but I like those a lot too. Nice video.

I highly recommend the Classic if you’re looking for something comfortable. I used to have a Harley. My father and brother-in-law still have one and I rode them recently. The Royal Enfield won’t have as much torque but it’s enough to give you something close. Can’t beat the price either.

Oh man, that bike looks fantastic. All the other videos are always in the bronze and chrome color way. I'm up in Michigan. We only have 4 dealers in the state. Closest dealer to me is about 120-150miles. I want one of these, but I have a feeling it's going to be difficult to get just what I want. I also never ride or even drive on the Highways. Great review. I just subscribed!

Yeah. The closest to me was about 70 miles. If you’re able to do your own maintenance it’s worth it. As the bike broke-in it’s even better. You won’t get my bike for your dollars.

I have owned bikes that legally I could barely use 25% of the bikes H.P.. Yes they were extremely fast but sterile. The classic 350 oozes with charm & charisma, never failing to put a smile on my face. The build quality on the J6 platform is remarkable - a credit to RE workers & management. Mine is in halcyon grey with canvas bags- toe n heel shifter & Fuel X Lite. A new sub - keep up the entertaining work !

I almost went with that color too. Very classic looking. I’ve had it about a year now and I still feel the same as when I first got it. Very comfortable bike. Enough power to get around and great looks. Good luck with yours.

Mr rick my meteor had graunchy sounding brakes and it got better when the brakes bedded in but when i move the bike around the yard manually the rear does catch ever so slightly and make a noise, i noticed that the brake pipe is routed in such a way that it excerts force on the caliper allmost stopping the calipers naturall tendency to self centralize on the disc, if this stress can be relieved i think it would cure my catching sound. I did intially put better sintered pads in the bike which only increased the noise and i reverted back to the originals. Mines currently being ridden daily in the uk winter and the tyres are more than capable, much more than capable to a degree were i would fit the same when the time comes.

Great comment. Yeah the brakes are something I’m going to look into in a few weeks. Right now it’s too cold for me to ride. I’m near Boston Massachusetts. So in a few weeks I’ll be going through the bike. I believe it’s the pin that the calipers ride on for both brakes. I’m going to take it apart and see what I find. If I find something I’ll put up a step by step video on how to service it. I’m getting the same thing you described on the brakes. I think the calipers don’t fully release.

Thank you! I could not find a new one in halcyon Grey anywhere in my country and I was prepared to travel to Germany to buy it but, before I embarked on a 1000 mile trip, I wanted to try the 20hp at the official importer. After I came back on the hunter, I went up to take my wife and my kid. They were siting on a halcyon Grey classic 350 with 2200 km on the clock bought last year from Germany, with touring seats, foot protections and windscreen. The owner upgraded to a supermeteor and left it there to find a buyer. Everybody forgot about it, and did not appear on the inventory list. Sometimes I get lucky like that. Contacted the owner in central Asia, Cambodia or something , paid by white transfer on the same day and yesterday morning I drove away. So, it has 2500 km now ( roughly 1500 miles), first servis at the importer, and some nice accessories.

Greetings from Devon inthe UK. I have a bike just like yours. I agree with all you say. Great for the country roads - manages even the steepest hills no problem. Everyone changes their bikes in slightly different ways so no two are exactly the same.

Yeah. It’s surprising enough power. I think it’s the torque and the rpm where the power comes in that makes it work. Glad you’re enjoying the bike.

100% mate. I dropped from a 900 Kawasaki to a Red and Chrome classic. In all honesty the 350 is way more satisfying to ride. Techno bikes have left me cold as they have zero character and soul. Hate boring highway riding so lacking the ability to cruise comfortably above 60mph doesn't bother me. I changed the headlight lamp to a brighter LED only as it definitely has helped reduce the pull out car drivers . Been riding since 1969 and I agree to call these a beginners bike does them a diservice They are really great bikes end of.

Yeah. It doesn’t really matter if a bike has 100hp when you go down the road 40 mph. They really did a great job with this bike. It’s enough for any road and a very comfortable ride. The 650 Shotgun Royal Enfield is coming out with is what got me looking into them. I’m not sure I would get it now. I’m very happy with this bike. Congratulations and enjoy.

Great review. Such a dilemma for me, to keep my beautiful but somewhat impractical Harley (softail Low Rider) or trade her in for one of these Classic 350's. Watched scores of videos on these bikes and not a bad word is said about them. I need to go to the dealers and look at one. Thanks
