A proper workhorse, and a pleasant change from guess-the-latest-bike channels. Looks like you have a slight blow from the exhaust top. I'll definitely try XCR.
@Coastriderscotland28 күн бұрын
Hi, think thats the XCP burning off as the pipe warms up, but you may be right as i did not. Replace the copper seal when i fitted the stainless pipe, i should check it though! 😁

Thanks and will try XCP this winter as I plan to ride my Hunter all year but can I ask once applied, do you wash the crud and salt off after every ride and reapply or do you leave the bike dirty and wash the bike in spring?
@Coastriderscotland26 күн бұрын
Hi Ross the XCP should stay on after a cold rinse over with a hose, and i imagine only using a Citrus based cleaner will remove it like it removes GT85 or Lanoguard

I think it’s a really good idea to coat the bikes with winter prep…. Back in the mid 80s when I was riding my 800 BMW on commute 200 miles each way in winter completely spoilt it with all that salt…

I've got acf50 on my Bullet and Interceptor , which I reapply regularly. I think xcp is more of a once and done thing for over winter, but maybe a bit gloopier?
@Coastriderscotland28 күн бұрын
Hi Andy the finish of the XCP is not sticky or greasy to touch and should not attract dirt to much, hopefully it will stay on doing its job longer than say GT85 👍😁

Do you have to keep xcp away from the brake discs?
@borderlands660628 күн бұрын
Always keep lubricants away from discs and pads.
@Coastriderscotland28 күн бұрын

@@Coastriderscotland Gave my 350 a proper wash in the cold morning sunshine, blew off the drips with a leaf blower and an hour later liberally sprayed with xcp. I wrapped the discs and pads with rags. The hardest bit was the front of the skid plate, very greasy mud splatter. I'm glad that didn't go onto the engine.
