Great review as always, camera and mic great. I'm not into bikes but just enjoy coming along for the ride.

@@samueldowney2806 Thanks, glad you’re enjoying them. Plenty more where this came from, too.

The more sophisticated bikes get, the further away from a genuine riding experience you get. The Interceptor and GT are great fun to ride simply because they are simple, but with a lovely engine, clutch and gearbox to enjoy. Back to basics they may be but I think RE have got it just right.

Price vs product I own an interceptor and have been riding 60 plus years - have owned so many different bikes from huge to small This bike gives the biggest bang for the buck You compared this vid to the Norton Not even close 20k vs 6k and the Norton is the most uncomfortable bike I’ve ever been on Good video Regards from Florida 🦩🦩

I started out on an Interceptor in sunset strip, now I’ve had a few bikes I realise it was pretty decent, I’d like to revisit it one day. I think I’d agree with your conclusions, I have heated grips on my Scrambler 900 and I thank the heavens every time I go out that the previous owner had them factory fitted but the purity of biking on an RE is definitely a thing, to me at least. Thanks for the video really enjoyed it.

robmance1611 I have two 865cc Triumphs; Thruxton and Bonneville. After 3 years with my 2020 650INT I decided to install WiseCo 83.5mm pistons and an S&S cam and now my Interceptor has equal performance with both of the Triumphs which are 67/68 hp. It now has 44,000 miles and the Triumphs are for sale. Wish R.E. would build a 750INT, so easy to do.

The sketchy tires are simply remedied, and for the purchase price of the bike you won't mind paying for that.

I remember the seventies and new bike brakes were crap: drums front and rear except single disc on new Honda Fours. The RE has way better brakes but looks seventies for sure. Tick! Thanks for sharing your ride...

I like to think I have the best of both worlds as I have a CBR400RR which I have owned since 1994 and a recent purchase Ltr Bike with all the electronics that modern bikes come with. Being honest the bigger bike is way too much but also good to know there is plenty in reserve for snap overtaking in any gear, while the 400 is just amazing fun the faster you go and so agile. Probably space in my garage for a retro too maybe,,,!!

I'm a new rider just turned 50 and went from my L plate 125 to a Kawasaki ER6F. I live on the edge of the Peak District and that's the type of riding that I enjoy. In all honesty, the ER6F is too powerful for my needs at 72 bhp, I don't want to put myself at risk just to go fast, I'm passed all that ego bs. I've always preferred the GT over the Int, especially blacked out, but I'd want the beautiful chrome tank on it. How did you find the riding position long term? I'm also interested in how a pillion would find it too. This Vs the Shotgun? Your thoughts? Great roads to enjoy riding on too btw 😎

I've not had this as long as I had the Interceptor, or covered as many miles on it. At least not yet. I didn't find the riding position as extreme as others have suggested it is, but that's obviously an individual thing. Obviously an individual thing and I guess you'll know pretty quickly if you sit on one if you'll be able to get on with it but at least there's the choice between this and the Interceptor. I'll say a pillion doesn't have a whole lot to hold onto, or stop them sliding back on the seat though there is a decent grab rail. And the Shotgun? The better suspension on that bike makes a huge difference to its roadholding, and it's a lot more relaxed in its riding position as well. Style-wise I find it a little confused (personally!) and I dig the Continental GT's clearer celebration of cafe racer roots. But, as ever, looks are a personal thing. Nice to have the choice, though! Thanks!

These bikes are built to be modified... you can tell by the extensive options RE offers. The price to entry allows most people financial room to make their RE their own. I've got tasteful mods on my 2024 GT650 and it ticks all of the boxes for me. Cheers PS: trust your 🎤 when you ride... calmer voice when you're speaking goes a long way.

Thank, your GT650 sounds ace. And apologies on the sound, I'm experimenting with a new set-up and set the levels a bit high on this one. Live and learn but appreciate this was a bit louder than it needed to be. Thanks for watching! /Dan

Just dropped onto your channel and it's ok. I like it. I've subscribed. But.. do you know how often you kind of say 'kind of'. I counted 23 times in an 11 minute vid. That's kind of repetative. 😂. No offence meant but just thought I'd mention.

@@mars0030 Oh god, I also get fixated on those … kind of … verbal ticks in people and it also drives me mad! I’ll have to make a mental note to try and purge, or at least ration, my use of it! 😂

The led is brighter. The bike has disc brakes, fuel injection, why no modern light? Btw - I have a 2021 GT with normal lights, which are also ok for me.
